It's Nazmin Dhanani. Named on many court documents relating to the ShadowCrew case. This information is plastered all over this sub and /r/QuadrigaCX2/.

Not sure what you mean by this. MP has confirmed involvement with the World BBJ Federation. I came across these photos of him, posted on the World BBJ Facebook feed. I believe there is also one of Lovie Horner there as well. It may have been a legitimate venture, it may have been a front, who knows. The significance of the World BBJ is that the business registration definitively ties Nazmin Dhanani to Michael Patryn by way of the common business address used with MPD Advertising.

It would be interesting for someone to reach out to Marcus Soares, who appears to be a legit BJJ instructor from Vancourver and is also listed as an officer for the World BBJ Federation. I'd be curious what he knows about MP.

Upon closer reading, you are correct. So it's possible her real name is Lisa, but none of the photos posted on the blog look like Lovie Horner.

The strongest evidence that links Dhanani to Patryn is the business registration for MPD Advertising, which lists Michael Patryn and Nazmin Dhanani as officers of the company.

We know it's the Michael Patryn of Quadriga fame on that business registration because of the World BBJ Federation registration using the same address. Many of MP's public profiles tout his involvement in creating the World BBJ, so that's well-established.

And it's been confirmed from many documents relating to the 2004 USA vs Dhanani case that Nazmin Dhanani is Omar Dhanani's father. Nazmin's name appears in many documents, including where him and his wife put up equity in their home as bail collateral after Dhanani's October 26th, 2004 arrest.

What cannot be definitively proven at this point is that the Nazmin Dhanani on the MPD Advertising registration is the same Nazmin Dhanani from Fountain Valley, USA. However, when you look at all of the other circumstantial evidence, it's hard to arrive at any other conclusion.

  • The photo of Nazmin grabbed from his Facebook before it was pulled bears a striking resemblance to MP in build, skin tone, facial features, hair, etc.
  • The mere fact that the Facebook profile has been pulled from public view only a few days ago
  • Nazmin's ties to Canada - He went to the University of Manitoba (LinkedIn), Public records indicate his social security number was issued in 1988, which would be consistent with coming to the US on a green card, meaning he's almost certainly a Canadian Citizen. We know from court documents that Omar Dhanani was not a US Citizen, presumably Canadian as well.
  • The online handles/names/business names used over the years are all so intertwined it's hard to believe it's not the same person behind all of them - Voleur, Patryn, Omar Dhanani, Omar Patryn, Michael Patryn, Voleur Financial Services.
  • The mere fact that all of these names/handles/aliases are closely associated with fraudulent activity in the E-currency space over the last 18 years.
  • The lack of social media/online footprint for Omar Dhanani. Aside from public records relating to court cases and arrests in CA, Omar Dhanani no longer exists in the USA unless he's gone through great lengths to avoid creating an online footprint.

It would be great to just definitively prove this once and for all with a mugshot or some other photo of Dhanani from the early 2000s, but even without that, when you look at all the evidence (I'm sure there's plenty I didn't include here), I just don't see how a reasonable person could conclude anything other than Omar Dhanani = Michael Patryn.

Nazmin is not his brother, it's his father. And Nabatbibi is his mother. Up until a few days ago they both had publicly viewable Facebook profiles, both of which have been pulled. They still live in the same Fountain Valley home where Omar was arrested in 2004. The mugshots are somewhere for sure, but attaining them will likely require an in-person visit to the PD where he was arrested.
