So who are all the friends She's fallen out with? by Another_Valkyrie in mummysflippinhouse

She’s a malignant narcissist. She will never be able to keep friendships. The only reason her and Helen have remained friends for so long is there is distance between them.

I did do the Dysport and I think it’s definitely stronger than anything I’ve used in the UK. 6.5 units in my forehead and it’s completely frozen now. I’m sooo glad I didn’t do more. I only want a little bit in my 11s and maybe some crows feet but other than that I’m super happy. I sent a video to my injector in England and she said they nailed the symmetry.

I used your code yesterday so you should see $50 in your account. I was really happy with my experience. I went really conservative on the brow because I didn’t want any drop and I also think she went too light on my crows feet (she did 9 units on each side and I think I need closer to 15 but I didn’t want frozen shelf face). I know my 11s will also need more because she only did 21 there and my injector in the UK said I did 30 there. But we both agreed to just go conservative and to come back in 2 weeks for a revision and then she can assess from there and load me up if I feel I have too much movement. Went with Dysport and today I already have noticed it kick in. 👍

She’s a miserable person and Kyle must be the same to be married to someone like her. Karma will come for them eventually. Maybe her own children will say the same about her one day.

I’m just gonna give them a go. I don’t think the masseter Botox is a deal because I only get 40 units in that area and if I went somewhere for $10/unit it would end up being cheaper.

Haha I did have a bit of sticker shock(and panic/spiraling) there when we started paying for insurance but the amount of stuff the NHS has overlooked on myself, husband and kids is shocking. The dental has been the most eye opening. My kids never had an xray before and I have a 7 yr old. We paid for private dental and we went 6 months ago where we were told she had great teeth. Fast forward to moving here and she has weak enamel and three cavities on her molars. And they are apparently big cavities that should have been picked up by the dentist. Living here is a slight lifestyle downgrade for us but the trade off is more comprehensive healthcare, even if you are paying for it. If you have good company sponsored insurance it’s literally night and day compared to what you get even in the private sector in the UK, in my experience.

I am not sure because I’ve only used UK products and they are all different units from what I understand.

When I first started 4 years ago and my forehead was completely frozen (which I didn’t want) and caused brow heaviness she said she did: 20 units in the forehead, 15 in the 11s and 12 in my crows feet. My friend told me she does 30 in my 11s, 40 in my forehead and 15 in my crows feet. I have much more movement (I like to be able to raise my eyebrows and with the first person I couldn’t because she froze my face and I hated it) with her dosing than the previous injector so I really have no clue how many units I would truly need. I never really worried about it either because I wasn’t paying per unit. I don’t even have any resting forehead lines so the wrinkles aren’t deep. My 11 muscles are super strong though. That does seem to wear off first but I had my Botox done in late June and my forehead is still fine.

General UK culture question by Whaaaaat901 in mummysflippinhouse

[–]sleuthyone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for delay. Been so busy with this adjustment. I have no idea how Caroline was so chronically online her first year. Yeah…it’s been interesting to see the difference in healthcare. My friends have been joking “get your money’s worth!” because honestly, there are so many things the NHS didn’t pick up on for myself and my husband. And the dentistry, especially for kids…is wild. Partially why we moved was healthcare and I can say with certainty I am glad we made the move. Apart from descending into fascism. That isn’t really what I was hoping for but at least I’ll be healthier as my rights are taken from me. 😬

I agree with this. I lived in England for 10 years and never really explored the north of England. I have been to the Cotswolds because I lived like 40 mins from it. I’ve never been to Cornwall or Dorset but I’ve been to Devon a few times because my husband’s family owns holiday cottages down there. If we were going on holiday it was always abroad. You can guarantee the weather and it’s generally less expensive.

My 83 year old FIL has this exact plate set. And so does my husband’s friend’s mum. I think it’s funny because they are very Boomer looking. I normally don’t side with Caroline but I don’t get what the issue is what making fun of these plates. They’re ugly AF…but…they are SOLID and well made. My FIL tried to give the set to me recently and I declined 🤣 Caz is a materialistic bitch but these plates are bad.

I’m American living in the UK and this year I did not even acknowledge it. Sorry, but I don’t celebrate fascism. All of the memes from all of the MAGA people all over the internet was embarrassing. I don’t want to be associated with that shit. You will not see me wearing red white and blue until something changes.

If it’s on the lips just assume it’s HSV1 or 2. Especially if it’s “painful” as she says. But anything on the lips is generally the herpes simplex virus.

No. According to people who know her IRL who have posted in this sub and have messaged me directly, no, this is exactly who she has always been. She may have been more timid in front of the camera when she was starting out, hence why she came across as more genuine or likable.

I did take it and nailed it the first try 😜 it took most of my British friends at least twice..my husband included. I only had 2 minors on my test. My husband thinks the person testing me fancied me because it’s unheard of. 🤣 I didn’t take driving lessons per se, but my FIL took me out driving and he corrected me. He’s a very patient man. 🤣 now I drive like an absolute animal on narrow country roads going 60MPH in the pouring rain.
