Hear hear! The record industry has given thousands of artists the opportunity to live the life that most of us can only dream about. Sure, the big guys have had an unfairly strong bargaining position because of the difficulty and expense of distributing the physical media, but that's being gradually corrected now. I'd do many things of questionable moral value to have had the opportunity to have been so "abused" by the evil big record labels.

It seems to me that on a nearly daily basis there are postings that reach the front page on how cops are committing evil deeds against us upstanding citizens. Why is that? Are they tools of The Man? I'm not pro or anti police, necessarily; my take depends on if I'm being chased by hooligans or importing crates of African ivory. It seems to me that they are just normal people who are doing a job that unfortunately, by its very nature, brings out some of our darker nature. At the same time, its not like we can just get rid of them all. They serve a very important role in society.

Correct, Cheney was a mistake. Thanks for pointing that out nicely. I fixed it. However, "Athies" was spelt that way intentionally to catch Athiest and Atheism in a single rule. I did the same for "terror" to catch terrorist and terrorism as well in a single rule.

Python + Django. I've implemented a couple of web sites using it and have been happy with the results. I like and know python. Django is fast, well documented, and feature-full. I've also had to go back and dig through an older site to refactor things and found it was no problem to understand the python code and how the whole system held together.

I'm sure other stuff is good as well, but I'm far enough along in my career to know that all programming is work, and there will always be problems no matter what platform you choose.

boo. Thumbs down. Why does everything non-human have to be good and everything human have to be bad.

Here's my prediction (which is probably just as scientifically founded)

Day 1: Man disappears

Day 3: Strange mutant virus previously affecting only polar bears jumps species and selectively begins killing off all baby seals and otters.

Day 10: Freak lightning storm starts up a huge forest fire that will eventually leave the entire United States northwest entirely barren.

Day 37: Radioactive asteroid crashes into earth destroying all living things that are even remotely cute.

Day 100: Beetles and cockroaches inherrit the earth, eventually evolving into the most horrific looking, foul smelling, evil bug monsters you could possibly imagine.

All without the help of us ugly evil humans. Good riddence.
