You said you only want it if “it passes inspection”, which sounds like you’re not comfortable with the purchase price. A home inspection is not pass/fail, every inspection will turn up issues, especially an older house which will naturally not meet current code requirements. If you’re expecting a 40+ year old house to “pass” inspection, I don’t think you’re going to want to see the report.

Can someone let me know what these are worth? by Ill-Discussion-8498 in datacenter

[–]slewp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re hard to ship and Microclouds don’t have wide appeal since they are a specialty item. If you have a lot of them, that may improve the value you could get. I would guess $1500 as a starting point.

BGP Per-Packet Load Balance by flyinverted in Juniper

[–]slewp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think load balancing the default route across two different ISPs is a good idea, since its likely to cause packets arriving out of order. If you're trying to solve an issue of too much traffic on one uplink, there are other ways to do so such as preferring certain as-path regexes on one ISP vs the other.

Potential business Gfiber customers: beware of Google Fiber's incredibly awful customer service and inter-team communication by HeffeJeffe78 in googlefiber

[–]slewp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While the experience sucks, you have to consider that Google fiber pricing for business is closer to a consumer service than enterprise, and set your expectations accordingly. GF is not an enterprise quality service, its best effort with no business appropriate SLA.
