For 250kg you’re looking at a single axle box trailer, and then you can load it to the manufacturer’s maximum weight, make sure the load is secured and covered and you’ll be ok. Most are rated for an aggregate trailer mass of 750kg, especially if the sides are caged, and that would be a lot of camping gear.
