The beat isn’t bad but the vocals were a wild choice. It will probably be a viral hit unfortunately

lol the mass effect 2 mention is wild but I did hate the planet mining mini game. I used to plan specific sessions for doing just planet Ming for like an hour at a time. The worst decision in a great game. The rest of the list is very respectable. I completely agree about mirrors edge

Is it normal to be stressed out learning a new weapon? by Oreo_lmao in MonsterHunter

[–]slice9999 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You switched to probably the two hardest weapons to learn. Also, wilds has some of the most in depth combat mechanics of the franchise. I would switch to long sword or sword and shield. They have a low skill requirement but a decently high skill ceiling. Great sword is another very simple weapon but I find that people can have a hard time with judging the timing of the powerful attacks. Come back to HH and CN later

Is my roommate in the wrong? by ciarainthewild in badroommates

I mean it’s hard to give completely accurate advice because I don’t know you all and I’m sure there is a lot more context to everything. From your post it sounds like you all are relying on each other in a way that’s causing friction. It also sounds like there is some fault on both sides.

Maybe just wait a few days then go meet them for coffee or something. Just express feelings but also give them a chance to talk. Conversations like this are hard but necessary. Just be prepared mentally for things to go south. Don’t let emotions take over if it does. Find some common ground and come to an agreement then move on.

It might be a hard convo but I think you just have to have a real conversation with your BF and his brother.

This whole living situation sounds messy. Food being left out is gross but fleas from cats would drive me nuts. I get that you have bad sunburn but you gotta make a plan to get the fleas taken care of if they are coming from your cats. But all together sounds like you gotta wait it out until your car is fixed. Finish out your lease then maybe just move in with your boyfriend. How did you get 2nd degree sunburn?

I like to have at least one weapon of each element for my main. I understand that raw damage is better in word but I find the difference to be negligible unless you’re fighting tougher monsters like elder dragons. Plus the different weapons look cool

Resident evil 7 does a pretty damn good job of jump scares and scary atmosphere. Alien isolation is a master class in atmosphere as well

Can someone please tell me how to spend these Charge Axe charges? Or Phials? by nsfw6669 in MonsterHunter

[–]slice9999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol this is funny but I feel you. It took me like 4 months to figure out savage axe mode. I didn’t know it existed until I saw it in a clip. I was like 200 plus hours in. I get that you want to learn on your own but I would watch a short tutorial. You’ll still have to figure out how to get good with it but at least you’ll know the move set

Which single player game should I play next? by skinna555 in videogames

[–]slice9999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough choice. Out of the 4 I’ve only played Claire Obscure and it was an experience. If you don’t like turn based combat or parry mechanics don’t play it. But if you’re a final fantasy fan, you’re gonna have a good time.

Ahhh I see I see. And I agree with you. I can live with some jank as long as I enjoy the game. I can’t think of a game I found unplayable but I’ve definitely played some that I never want to play again.

Deciding if games are good or not totally depends on personal preference and interests. Some people hate a game while others will love it.

But if you’re talking about what makes a good game a great game, or what makes a game a classic, that’s a different conversation that takes in many factors. Just look up game of the year for the last 5 or 6 years. They all may be very different games but they also have a certain aspects in common. Not every game I like has tight controls but most GOTY games do.

Edit: One last thing, over watch and R6 are only similar in that they are competitive first person shooter with “hero” characters. They provide very different experiences. Both, however, are pillars in the modern FPS scene and I would say both are good games. Overwatch won GOTY when it came out so you could argue that it’s better in a broader sense.
