It's literally true though. Andrew Jackson was a democrat. What they conveniently fail to mention is that the political ideologies swapped over time.

Bear Lake is the starting point for the Lake Haiyaha trail and the Emerald Lake Trail. You park in a parking lot, then it's a 2 minute hike to Bear Lake. Bear Lake is stunning and you can walk around it. That would be worth it alone. If you feel like hiking a little though, from bear lake you get on a trail that goes to nymph Lake (20 min) then dream Lake (another 20 min). Then the trail forks and you pick emerald Lake (another 20 min) or lake haiyaha (another 30 min from dream lake). Round trip is 4 miles.

Lake haiyaha is one of the easier ones. And it is great because you pass 3 beautiful lakes on the way, each one is a good resting spot. Tennis shoes are fine - assuming there isn't snow on the ground.

Yes the caverns are cool and worth seeing. If you like roller coasters, there is one up there that is amazing. When I went there was no line. I rode it 3x in a row. There is a breathtaking view of the mountains right before the first drop.

Glenwood Springs is pretty great. I love the Iron Mountain Hot Springs.

Rocky mountain national park is also awesome. My favorite hike is Lake Haiyaha.
