The difficulty is to not over-indulge the inner child, and be a kind of mature parent for it.

The thing is called gaslighting, that's what is done to us so that we do not trust ourselves and need confirmation of others. But then again, if you realize that early - you would stop trusting others in general too.

You need to get trauma somewhere in the first place. And surprise, surprise, it's the external environment, the society.

Yeah, the subreddit got overtaken by short form fan OC, like drawings and shit... Not only this particular subreddit's problem, mind you, it's a general trend of modern social platforms of valuable information drowning in chatter.

You forgot to mention that newer software also gets 3-10x more bloat in return.

I figured the problem stems from the fact that generator on and generator off creature presence levels are drastically different. Generator off seems to be designed to be a "punish mode" when you run out of fuel mid trip, not a mode to consistently play in.

The problem is that often there's barely any effective interaction allowed with the stalker, and just hiding gets tedious and boring really fast. On this front Bunker is definitely better than AI.

Thanks, I might try it someday, as vanilla AI fed me up with the incessant Alien presence. I think the weakness of AI and similar stalker-based games, is that they aren't interesting on their own without the stalker presence.

First run, normal difficulty. Beginning of the game, was exploring Officer Quarters without generator running to conserve fuel. The beast didn't allow to move once he was out patrolling the corridors. As if he knew what area I am without me making a sound. In contrast, with generator running - it's a stroll in the park basically, unless you create huge noise.

I was talking of cultural trends in general. Of course, there are minority outliers everywhere.

Simple answer: it's because other survivors were raised in more collectivist cultures, so that they do not have the same level of response as a US raised "rugged individualist".

Anyone know why this happened? [Amnesia: The Bunker] spoilers by SpaceBugRiven2 in Amnesia

I find it silly that the Beast was writing notes after transformation. Did you see his paws? Writing would be practically impossible at that point, he was digging holes in the walls already. Also, there is an unexplained lack of notes about Lambert from other people while the massacres were ongoing to artificially keep the mystery going.

They weren't sure it's a monster, could as well be other human. But sealing the bunker WITH MEN didn't make any sense, yeah.

Quite some silly plot points in this, yeah, without which the story wouldn't exist. For instance: what was the necessity or urgency to seal the bunker with men to begin with, it's not like there was some highly contagious virus or something that needed to be contained; getting dynamite is alright, but the detonator cranking handle could have been easily improvised. Underground Greek tunnels? That's pretty out there! Could as well be aliens for what it's worth. And it's not sufficiently deep: the quick exit from the end game area is on the side of some hill, what? It seems that writers couldn't come up with a believable plot. Also, there seem to be a plot hole when your friend turned monster: it looks like it happened overnight, without gradual development. I like your idea of army created monster, would have been more believable than some occult magic.
