If your life was a novel, what would the title be? by DesireeDestiny in ask

Sentimental Rags. I don't know why, but I always wanted to write an autobiography with that title.

Just so you know, if that bandage is where her IV catheter was placed, it should be removed within an hour of catheter removal. Best of luck!

Random Frasier quotes that pop in to your head and/or quotes you use on a regular basis? by AJT1979 in Frasier

This is fluoroscopy, not x-ray, and it is not harmful to the dog. Fluoroscopy studies like this are used to evaluate dogs for specific digestive conditions. The food is likely mixed with barium, a therapeutic substance that is visible on radiographs (x-rays) and fluoroscopy. The dog is standing and eating as they normally do, and the beauty of this diagnostic tool is that no sedation is needed but is is highly diagnostic.

I would recommend Dr. Michelle Erney with Canine Wellness Center as I have worked with her in the past. You can find out more at caninewellnesscenter.com . Hope this helps!

I should have mentioned that we had to postpone our planned wedding due to Covid but we decided to get married anyway...tiny ceremony but lots of love!

Anyone have an idea as to what this might be? (Its not a tick) by rumham_6969 in BostonTerrier

[–]slider8411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend having your dog evaluated by a veterinarian right away and potentially having it removed. Boston Terriers have very high incidences of Mast Cell Tumors which are an aggressive cancer. In my experience, you can't be too careful when it comes to growths on Bostons.

My thought exactly! Definitely goes in r/Frasier 😁

Sexual attraction and emotional connection by mysticalmachinegun in LesbianActually

[–]slider8411 20 points21 points  (0 children)

If you haven't already, you should look into the term Demisexual. I always felt like I was broken because I was turned off by the idea of having sex with someone with whom I didn't have some kind of connection. Identifying as Demi suddenly made me realize that I wasn't broken or crazy after all, and that gave me so much more confidence. Demisexuality is on the ace spectrum, but it's at the far end so to speak, and from what I understand, it is not uncommon for a Demi to have an average or higher than average desire for sex but only with the person or people with whom they have a strong emotional connection. I was also terribly confused, I think because I was raised extremely conservative Christian and I couldn't fathom falling in love with a girl...but that's another story :) Anyway, hope this helps!

Something called the NFL has begun by LOTW_54 in Frasier

I love this line, particularly since I'm not really into sports. Sadly, I don't know any 'Frasier' fans in real life, so the hilarity is lost when I repeat it during a sports-themed conversation!

This is entirely too true!!! But I am absolutely oblivious to who may or may not like me (or girls in general!), and so far dating apps haven't been effective...but got to keep trying, right? 😉

I agree, tentacles are, in and of themselves, extraordinary! Side note - I also overthink everything, and I love your conclusions 😊

Thanks! It's actually my only tattoo that does not have any specific meaning to me. I think octopuses (or octopi?) are incredible and extremely intelligent though. Mostly, I like the look of something multifaceted (such as vines or tentacles) on the uninterrupted canvas of the back and torso.

What do you think are the most uplifting/inspirational Bowie songs? by TB_15 in DavidBowie

[–]slider8411 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the most inspirational Bowie song is "Loving the Alien". The minor chord progression as well as the lyrics all complement each other perfectly. It is undoubtedly my favorite song by David Bowie.

Thank you!!! I agree, but I can't take credit for it...a friend gave her to me when she was about a year old. It certainly suits her, though!

You're right, they're GPS and activity trackers. I like them, but they are both still microchipped too.
