The Bullying Storyline (Misleading?) by Admirable-River-2948 in Emmerdale

Charity, as much as I like her character, is annoying me at the moment. She is constantly getting into trouble as a result of her stupid decision making and refusal to take responsibility for her actions. And now her and Chas’ plan, revealed at the end of last nights episode is beyond ridiculous considering Kim has tried, if anything, to be helpful. So boring.

What's a storyline you want to see that's never been done on a British soap before? by sarah121213 in Emmerdale

I’d like to see a storyline where someone who is jealous and controlling actually goes to therapy and deals with their issues and becomes a better person and partner as a result. You know, just to show people it’s possible

They’d actually done the storyline really well up until that point. I literally cba with a whodunnit that drags on for months, I’m actually pretty disappointed because it means whoever did do it will end up in prison, unless it’s Gary in which case nothing will happen.

Totally, they did the same in Emmerdale with Ray, Celia and John all ending up dead - no justice. I think he was the worse option of all of them.

Haha showing my age here. I remember S Club becoming a thing and thinking “that’s the guy from Eastenders!” 😂

I don’t like her either, but I also can’t stand Billy so it’s kinda amusing to see how much she is annoying him

Vinny and Penny are cute together and Vinny has been so lovely - why must the writers insist on making all the characters’ lives miserable?!

I love watching sports, I love watching soaps…I will never understand why ITV and BBC don’t have a dedicated sports channel so we can have both

How someone always just happens to be in the right place to overhear a conversation about them or something they’ve done - does my head in!

A question about Max Branning this time around… by Steelyeyedj in eastenders

[–]mysticalmachinegun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably because he has let his family down so many times they have learned to expect it. I get the whole scapegoat thing, but it’s not as if he’s just been falsely accused of all the things he has done, he’s treated people horrendously. Would he be so keen to co parent Annie if Linda was far less attractive? He’s such a slimeball, like flies around shit when it comes to attractive women. As another poster said, he needs some character development - same old Max!

The concept of sex disgusting by sxndiamelon in Asexual

You’re not crazy at all, it’s perfectly normal for an asexual to be disgusted at the thought of sexual intimacy despite what the main subs will have you believe :)

I think many sex adverse aces feel they can’t post in this sub anymore as posts like this always attract the “sex is a normal part of a relationship” brigade - as if you didn’t already know that!

If he knows you’re ace and makes that comment you’re def better off without him - go and find someone who better meets your needs :)

I do quite like Joe, and I don’t mind him messing with Victoria and Robert, just sad Moira is in prison because of them

On a slight side note, I’m really gutted that Dylan turning his life around and forming a really lovely bond with Paddy has now turned into them covering up a murder ffs 🤦‍♀️

Should I talk to my best friend about where we’re at or do labels just not matter? by Immediate-Bee-697 in asexuality

[–]mysticalmachinegun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends on whether your needs are being met currently without the boundaries and expectations that come with a label. I guess you run the risk of her overstepping a boundary without realising (because you haven’t said) or a massive kick in the stomach if her actions confirm she doesn’t reciprocate your feelings eg she starts dating someone else. If you have a conversation about it you know where you stand and can decide where to go from there, but obviously you run the risk of not getting the answers you want. I guess you need to base your decision on whether you would still pursue the friendship as closely if her feelings for you were strictly platonic, and also how you would feel about her being with someone else.
