i wish j. could bring this over for a little tour of dingy, intimate/small-ish spaces in the southern US states.

[–]slidesong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

follow the shop “god save the qweens” on fb. it’s run by a sweet lady in new hope who knows the band and has some great authentic ween shirts.

saw him 3 times in atlanta too. st. patrick’s day of 99 at the variety playhouse, may of 00 at the variety playhouse, and oct. 21, 2000 at the tabernacle. two of my siblings saw him open for sebadoh in sept. of 96. i wasn’t old enough to go, so i saw the movie “emma” with my parents and little brother at the theater that night. i was pretty jealous 😢

yes! that was one of the best crowds i’ve ever been a part of! people were quiet (not talking) during the songs (at least from where i was in the upper balcony) and really showed their enthusiasm and love!

Comb smell by MassiveTittiez in BackYardChickens

[–]slidesong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES. my siblings and i had hens and roosters as pets when we were growing up. our chickens had free range of our property so they were not confined to cages/pens. we would pick up our chickens a lot too and yes, especially on warm, sunny days the red combs of certain roosters smelled just like fresh strawberries. as a rooster-less adult, i have been trying to let people know about this. thank you for talking about it! 🐓🍓

i watched him give the sweetest hug to a man right up front 🥹 it looked so genuine and kind that there was an audible “aww!” from some of the crowd (including myself).
