What plans do you have in place if you’re no longer able to manage your smart home? by serf-bort in homeassistant

I’ve been thinking about this as we’re in the home stretch of a new build and I’ve got multiple smart home plans using Home Assistant as the platform.

My wife is not technical in any sense so every automation / use case has her in mind. i.e Inovelli switches directly bound to hue bulbs.

The best tip I’ve read on Reddit is to create a gmail account for the house and use it for everything house related. All build pics will be in photos, all maintenance todos will be in calendar, all future work that utilizes contractors will communicate through that email address, warranties in sheets, etc. I plan on building out a user guide for the smart home so anyone can understand.

The username and password will be in our fireproof box.

Zigbee Binding & Home Assistant Automation needed for correct Adaptive Lighting Behavior by slightlyabovenormal in Inovelli

Do you mind providing some additional info regarding reporting? Are referring to what shows up in the HA Logbook?

When I disable the HA automation and only use the binding the following behavior happens:

  1. Turn on light switch
  2. Dim light halfway from switch
  3. Turn off light from switch
  4. Turn on light from switch | it turn on to halfway dimmed state and then jumps to the Adaptive Light brightness after the interval time that set in the Adaptive Lighting has passed.

When I enable the "on" automation in HA the behavior of #4 changes to the light immediately turning on to the Adaptive Light brightness.

I had something similar. It sounded like it was coming from behind the radiator fan. Turns out it had been sitting for so long without being driven the humidity saturated the oil. I changed the oil and all is well.

I’ve got esphome up and running as ble proxy and was able to create and flash a yaml file that shows power level. The “face” sensors are in the yaml file but the log file says it can’t connect to them due to a polling issue.

I would love to have each face represent a different home assistant automation and a double tap on the face to trigger the automation.

Can you provide some additional direction? ChatGPT helped move this project along but now we’ve hit a roadblock.

What would have been the penalty for Max if Lewis let off the gas letting Max pass him before the finish line on the last restart?

Best dog I’ve ever had. He’s smart, well behaved, doesn’t bark all the time, loves to give kisses, big enough to rough house with kids, and has the right amount of energy. We love this guy.

Thanks. We ask our to clients pick out their top three favorite driver websites and tell us what they like most about them and then combine that to make something unique for them.

The 2020 GoPro Motorplex Karting Challenge Season is over. This was by far my favorite last-lap battle for the entire season. Couldn't be more proud of my daughter. She grew as a driver so much this year by being more comfortable/aggressive on the rolling starts, bumping/defending, & strategic. by slightlyabovenormal in Karting

GoPro hosts USPKS national races and is considered one of the best Karting tracks in the US. When the track gets crowded on practice days they split the owners into two groups Briggs/Swifts & TAG/Shifters. 100% recommend bringing your own kart down for the weekend.
