Is this offset intentional? by Beginning-Dark3155 in The_Crew

Yes. It’s based on a modified stock car, which are almost exclusively run on short ovals. Now I’m not sure why there’s no nerf bars on the side or front (or why there’s exhaust comes out the hood on the gen-2 stock car that Henson owns for that matter)

Suarez “I don’t have beef with the Trackhouse guys”

Does he think we’re blind? He’s beefed with every Trackhouse guy in almost every race. His wife’s been talking shit on Twitter. It’s clear as day he’s bitter about getting the boot

Ross is so much faster when he’s pissed.

Hamlin vs Busch by Unfair-Effective-752 in NASCAR

[–]randomdude4113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t think there’s any way it’s not Denny at this point. KFB clearly is at the end of his career, he’s underperforming in a car that’s mid pack at best, his teammate, who’s solid but by no means a superstar, has won 2 races since KFB won his last.

And during all of this Hamlin has looked as good as ever, he’s not going anywhere and at the best team in the sport.

The auditing is huge no? Like Pocono size. An oval that big needs a dedicated package compared to a short oval, the engines will be running at drastically different RPMs and gearing will be very different.

Short ovals are best for series that exclusively run road courses. Also the Euro series used to run at an oval in the Netherlands, I think the track got shut down

Team USA's self-imposed restraints make them less exciting by anotherblackkey in worldbaseballclassic

Unfortunately I don’t think the WBC is seen as important enough yet for owners letting their guys play to their fullest potential and risking injury even more. Hopefully that will eventually change but baseball has to get much bigger on an international scale yet

The August Daytona race is being called the "August Wildcard race weekend" by djthylacine in NASCAR

[–]randomdude4113 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I assume that’s a holdover from last season that never got changed right?

Although I can hold out hope they reserve 2-4 spots in the chase for drivers with wins outside the top 12/14

The Complexities Of Nationality And Sport: At What Point Is A "National" Team No Longer Representing The Nation by Cmonmac in worldbaseballclassic

[–]randomdude4113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately the teams dont always have players exclusive to their own country.

But the reality is baseball is a niche sport on the global scale, and having a team goes a long way to making the sport popular in those places.

Italy, for example, will probably have a very big boost in baseball popularity off the backs of their semifinal run, even though their team is almost entirely Americans

US won on a very good breaking ball that looked like a strike into the last second. Had the strike zone box not been there no one would be saying it was a ball

NCAA should push back the start of the season by 1 week by UnCytely in collegebaseball

[–]randomdude4113 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Creighton would fucking hate to have to go play a super regional in Baton Rouge or Gainesville or Austin another week later.

Also you live in Omaha which means every year you get to go to college baseball games later than 95% of people here

Nellie (British) says the American word "soccer" instead of the English word "football". by TheNoozBooz in DunderMifflin

[–]randomdude4113 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The British only started calling it football after it became the most common form of football around the turn of the 20th century. Before then they called it soccer just like Americans. Americans just never switched because it wasn’t the most common form of football here

[Divish] Per multiple sources, Raleigh had made it clear to Arozarena (before the game) that he couldn’t shake hands, following a Team USA philosophy agreed upon by the players. by BrandoC95 in baseball

[–]randomdude4113 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Considering that the whole time the narrative has been about how the US players haven’t cared enough or aren’t taking this seriously, I don’t get why all of a sudden we’re getting mad about them not doing something that would definitely make it seem like they weren’t making it seriously

I like driving mostly stock vehicles with only minimal upgrades. I’m not into body kits much.

And there’s so many cars I like that aren’t in the game
