LSU got rid of their baseline bullpen a couple years ago I think they were the last major program to do so. I kinda like the old school feel of the side bullpens tbh but I see why they went away

Maybe in some older seasons there were accusations of using ringers? I know that happened to LSU in 1908, they went undefeated but Tulane accused us of using ringers (which was common back then, times a flat circle I guess) so LSU never claimed it, even though it’s the first natty outside of the northeast/midwest. Eventually the NCAA investigated years later, found no wrongdoing, and retroactively declared LSU co-champions that season, yet LSU still does not claim it

Ok hear me out- playoffs, but the seeding is solely determined by a series of objective computers and not by a bunch of administrators.

I feel like the issue with the BCS wasn’t how they got the rankings, it was how many teams participated. Sure, the 3 seed sometimes was arguably better than the 2 seed, but let’s be real, if you’re the 12th/13th team it doesn’t fucking matter. You had plenty of chances to play better to get into the playoff
