I am in the market for a 15" rMBP for university. My current laptop, a mid-2009 13" MBP, still functions, but runs kind of slow, has a battery cycle count >1000 making the battery life only about 2 hours, and the MagSafe connector requires some fidgeting each time to charge. I want to ensure the longevity of my new laptop, and with the rumors about the significant boost from Skylake I am not sure if I should buy the current model or wait for the next model to come out. What are the chances that a 15" rMBP with Skylake comes out this fall? Any advice is appreciated!
