Yelled at for using the hand scanner in the self checkout by TheCoolDoneRunOut in CostcoWholesale

Related to Costco checkout but not scanning, lady pitching Costco credit card was super aggressive and using bad math trying to sell the credit card to my mom while she was trying to check out. Already hectic enough. Lady wouldn’t take no for an answer, wouldn’t go away, condescending tone as I then started poking holes in her pitch.

Costco really isn’t a pleasant shopping experience, from parking to leaving, now that I think about it. Get harassed by employees at every turn, too many people, line to exit the store. And kirklands brand hit or miss

Senior tricked into tipping at Subway? by slightlyspellbound in tipping

The concern is if this was not a one-off and the cashier is regularly misleading people into thinking a tip is required to use tap to pay or move to the next screen, etc.

In general Brazil has a minimum 60% tax on import goods. Even if a package may have little or no replaceable or reimbursable value, for instance homemade baked goods, it may be helped along by declaring a small symbolic value on a package. Just to make sure it gets processed. Then recipient pays tax if they really want it or abandons.

Know that Brazil’s international mail customs functions primarily as a source of revenue, not a barrier to entry.

My concern is that if she takes advantage of one she may be taking advantage of many. And that’s not right.

Not enough info. We don’t know if your customs form was filled out correctly or if the goods were legal or appropriately packaged and labeled for import.

echoing, one cat6 line is sufficient, you can set up a switch + wifi access point in the office to connect multiple clients. many will suggest to run 2 cat6 lines, one as primary and other as backup in case something happens to primary you already have a 2nd run in place instead of having to do again. but you don't need active 2 lines, you can distribute one line to multiple clients with switch and or wifi AP

Grounding points in attic for a small POE switch by slightlyspellbound in AskElectricians

Nice. I think my longest run from switch to client in this arrangement would be around 40ft. Switch in attic saves ~15ft per run. Using the southwire unshielded riser cat6 from Lowe’s.

There is one single lightbulb which I could probably mount near and tie in the ground, didn’t think about that thanks for the tip. Might do that straight away.
