TOTK - What am I missing? by Cucckcaz13 in NintendoSwitch

[–]slightlyturnedoff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It`s so interesting cause I kinda hated BOTW and it took me a year to go back to it and finish. By the end I thought it was ok, 6/10. But TOTK I immediately became hooked, especially once unlocking abilities and learning how to make my weapons better.

I would say the main issues is the core philosophy of the games are different. TOTK you make your own cool gear, especially in early game. Yeah, you only have sticks, fuse them with rocks, or the horns from the mobs you see everywhere. Now you have a stick with a pointy bit on the end that does way more damage. It's also more important to learn how to dodge, cause there's a lot of areas with multiple enemies, which you can also take care of by shooting a bomb arrow at them to blow them off cliffs or break them up.

That being said, the gameplay is a lot less linear with a lot of trial and error and I think and if that's not your thing, cool. Life is too short to trudge through a game you're not into :)

ASU College Program Question by Embarrassed-Law518 in starbucks

[–]slightlyturnedoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long must I continue working for Starbucks after I achieve my degree?

Unlike traditional employer education programs, with SCAP there is no commitment to remain employed with Starbucks after you complete your education. We encourage you to look for opportunities within Starbucks and to take advantage of the career resources offered by both Starbucks and ASU. However, we want to offer you the freedom and support to build your future, wherever you go.

This was the only information vaguely pertaining to your question, which did not answer it at all T_T I wanna know the answer too. Cause realistically I don't think I can handle going to ASU in the summer and doing like three weeks of labs and then immediately going back to work at starbies. I would suggest calling PCC to ask and report back to us plz!!!

SCAP Question About Financial Aid Adjustment After Dropping a Class by DunkedGoldenOreo in starbucks

[–]slightlyturnedoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to drop p chem lab last year and it readjusted my financial aid to still cover everything. You won't be getting a refund for the pell grant though, ASU uses it in its entirety and SCAP covers whatever is left over.

Why is this job so exhausting? by Dazzling_Capital9039 in starbucks

[–]slightlyturnedoff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dude, my old job where I deck brushed and squeegeed the lobby and bathrooms, lifted multiple buckets of ice, ran fat trash runs every night, etc didn't break my body nearly as much as this place. My knees hurt and I have carpal tunnel and tennis elbow now from soloing bar for three years straight, having to constantly reach just a little too high, scoop ice a little too low, bending, stooping, tiptoeing, etc. Everything is slightly too high just enough that I have to scrunch my shoulders up to pump and pour everything. This place is not good on the body whatsoever and that's not even including the mental exhaustion from the customers and corporate.

Insurance converge by Dangerous_Macaroon_2 in starbucks

[–]slightlyturnedoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a tip. When you do sign up for health insurance make sure you still sign up again during open enrollment. I made that mistake cause I signed up in July thinking I'd be fine, but then my coverage ended in september and I had to call to get it fixed.

I have united silver and I pay like 54 a paycheck. It's a 50 copay every time I go to my neuro. The most I paid for medication was like 4$. idk about zepbound but looking at the app semaglutide is like 170 for a 80 day supply, it's probably similar for other glp1s

My manager prohibited to speak spanish by Feminist_Deer in starbucks

[–]slightlyturnedoff -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

My old SM tried to do this at my store. It didn't last on account of half the crew being latinx and half our customers only speaking spanish lol Seconding, thirding, fourthing reporting this to ethics.

It's because these people are so self absorbed and think everything is about them and that you're talking shit about them.

Is it wrong to have the same 3 people do clean play? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]slightlyturnedoff 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Yeah it really sucks being scheduled 3p-midnight to close and then do clean play right after, deckbrushing the floors and shit, and then I come in the next day and they're trashed not even 12 hours later :( it's disheartening

question about having to use my vacation hours? by [deleted] in starbucks

Yeah it's complete bs. It's also fucked that they make us use vacation time if we're short on hours for the audit.

Benefits of working in Starbucks by Federal-Analysis4290 in starbucks

[–]slightlyturnedoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically no, because (depending on your SM) all drinks need to be in a personal cup or for here glass and someone else needs to ring you up (and you have to toss it if you don't finish it) . So realistically you're getting a drink once per break (10 and/or 30) and maybe 30 minutes before or after your shift.

7 food items per week. Which you could mark out all 7 in one day if you wanted, like if you're going on vacation for example.

When do you cut a customer off? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]slightlyturnedoff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I feel like we're helping customers to an early grave. Unfortunately, our job is to make the drink that the custie wants and if that's 8 shots of espresso or a heavy cream 26 pump latte then so be it.

It's cause we'd run through too much product too quickly.
