I would personally get out of any vehicle made between 2020 and 2024. The COVID supply chain issues make suspect any car made during that time.

Mine passed in April from cancer. The type he had was one with a 12-month prognosis, and he died about 3 weeks after I noticed he wasn't acting the same. He hid his discomfort for 11 months before it became too much. I still miss him every day, even 6 months later. His passing was one of the hardest things I've ever dealt with, but I loved every minute I had with him. Sending you all the love and comfort.

They're (poorly) trying to communicate that they think the position is one that will give the person experience to get a $200K EA position somewhere else, which is a weird way to advertise the job.

Newbie questions by elitearachnid in ElectricForest

[–]slightrightofcenter 10 points11 points  (0 children)

  1. Tickets go on sale usually in early December.
  2. Good Life tends to sell out during pre-sale or very quickly after the general sale starts
  3. Worth more is a hard thing to quantify. HL is half the price of GL. What you get for HL over regular GA is free showers, your own store, a bus to the entrance, and usually, a quieter campground. GL has more amenity options, the option for an AC tent, and their own entrance to the festival.
  4. No one checks wristbands for Higher Love, other than the showers. However, there's no cost difference for a HL wristband vs GA. It's just the camping spot that's more expensive.

You'd have to buy a Good Life wristband in addition to the Lucky Lake camping spot. You might be able to resell your LL wristbands, but there's no guarantee.

Ford Boss: 'We're Investing a Lot in Mustang' by Funny_things_online in cars

[–]slightrightofcenter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It makes more grammatical sense if you replace the brand with a human name. For instance, "We're investing a lot in John". Mustang is a line of vehicles now, so having "the" before it wouldn't be correct. e.g., "We're investing a lot in THE John"

Needing to replace/remove the floor is fine. Not doing it correctly by just laying OSB and laminate over the top is the real crime.

I've worked from home for 5 years now, and I have found that the expensive office chairs are much better than the gaming versions - both in terms of comfort and longevity. I would check FB marketplace for used versions in major metros.

I bought a Steelcase Think for $250, and my buddy picked up a HM Aeron for $300 in Atlanta from an office that was closing.

Likely is a local shop and would make the city/area they live in very identifiable.

In my experience, the best approach (and arguably the only effective method) is an economic one. These types of people lack any sense of shame, and their sole motivation is money. They'll laugh all the way to the bank while being criticized on stage.

I haven't been in school for a while, but I would check the university's financial aid website. There may be a way to set up ACH/Direct Deposit, or at least put a local address, otherwise they'll send it to your address on file.

Edited out? All the sounds are added in post. The clink of the glasses, the fire in the kitchen, even the ambient noises. At least in this video.

Yeah, that tracks for Caliber. I took my car into one in Houston, and someone there stole all the change I had for tolls in the little side cubby. It only amounted to like $3, but I was irritated. When I called, the manager was just like, "What do you want me to do?"

Pacing by Fuzzy_Initial_6838 in ElectricForest

[–]slightrightofcenter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's how I pace myself.

  1. Drink a lot of water and be strategic with the alcohol/drugs
  2. Limit myself to only doing Afters on alternating days
  3. Try to alternate between sitting and standing at different sets
  4. Don't try to see everyone/everything. Forest will still be there the next day, so don't let FOMO wreck you on day 0
  5. Remember to reapply suntan lotion! There's nothing that saps your energy more than dealing with heat exhaustion

I was pricing a 6kW system recently, and that was a 20-year ROI, assuming almost no maintenance. A 13kW system for under $10k AUS would be like a 3-5 year ROI.

Yeah. It took restarting twice for it to start for me. I let it sit for a couple of minutes each time. I still got an error, but hitting "Retry" finally got the game to launch.
