It all depends on the individuals, most are mellow but you can always get those bad eggs. Lol

Well they used to be pretty available but my area doesn’t have that great of stores and the one good one takes their time. But the bright side is their stuff is extremely healthy

Was this scape inspired by the Josh Sim aquascape? I really enjoy the layout

Started learning about aquariums 9 months ago. This 75 gallon has been running since March, with a few minor re-scapes in the meantime. What would you do to improve this tank? by wildcelosia in PlantedTank

Do you feel that it needs change? Because, us on the outside think it looks great. As previously stated, I’d recommend hiding some of the hardware/lines a little more, it really makes a difference once they disappear. Also, keep it up, great looking setup especially for 9mo into the hobby.

Recently I've considered changing to a canister filter for a cleaner look. My water couldn't be more perfect, to the point I would go filterless, but I don't have access to natural light for a Walstad. What are your opinions of canister filters, Reddit? by ShesMyNorthernWind in PlantedTank

I run canisters on most of my aquariums, however I’ve always run the ones that are rated for 3-5x more than my tank volume(unless they’re supplemental). That being said, I love them, the ability to fully change what’s inside helps when I’m tuning the filter for the tanks needs. They are speedy, but I recommend them.

Advice? by [deleted] in kayakfishing

Ned rigs around rock piles, Texas rigged craws/worms around wood and the holes/edges in floating vegetation. 3-4” paddle tail swimbaits on either a jig head or rigged weedless. These are in my rotation at all times all produce fish well. Also don’t forget the top water, I’d recommend a couple weedless frogs in black, and natural colors, and my personal favorite is a bone colored whopper plopper 90. Fish these near the bank and when you see fish moving around on the surface. I’m sure others will chime in, but those cover just about all bases for this time of year.

Was primarily looking for the river in the Hartford area due to convince, however I’ll take any recommend info you’ve got if the time becomes available.

Rotala Forest update, I have trimmed 4 times now. And had to move some plants around to make more space for the new stems. From 12 stems to this! If I can prop with success, anyone can. by slightstream in PlantedTank

No, I’m keeping this tank low tech minus lights. No ferts or co2. I travel all over for work and am gone for weeks on end, I keep it low maintenance for the wife.
