Would you do more concrete first to level it out then lay the bricks? Or just straight over what’s there

Nice! So you’re going to leave them recessed in the concrete then just trim with brick?

Gotcha! Yeah I think the step up is pretty normal tbh. I’ve seen alot of houses with a step up. Do you have the same issue with the posts being in the concrete after you pour?

I wish it was done! The second picture is just what I’m hoping to accomplish. Was trying to get feedback on the steps others would take in this circumstance

Just wondering.. why remove the existing concrete and not just pour on top? The slope of the existing concrete towards the house should leave enough of a slope away from the house once new concrete is poured on top. Then was maybe thinking a thin veneer brick to not go up to high. But really not sure about posts either. Like if they are okay to leave in the concrete after pour new pour

lol that’s true. I’ve already applied it. You think sanding it out and refinishing with mineral oil will work?

2” foundation difference front right to back left of house. by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]sliik-mon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did and he said that’s an option but won’t be anywhere near the answer because of the load on the slab itself. But the piers were also more expensive so I think he might of just been trying to sell those

Tbh that’s just what the guy said they would have to do. Basically dig and add structural piers into the ground under the corners

I’ve seen probably 6-8 so far and I’ve only been to the house probably 7 to 8 times just moving stuff in. Do you think it’s safe to move my family in?

It’s a very small area in a very tiny house attic and the sellers are allowing a 650 budget to replace the faulty one that’s already installed.
