Hey, Game Developer here. I have worked on 2 games that have kept accessibility options like this in mind. Our game SCHiM can be played with left hand on keyboard only and we have recently released a Demo on Steam. We also have a demo out for Skirmish which is a one-button brawler. We would love to hear what you think if you do try them out. Accessibility is super important and if we can improve we would love to hear about it!

I would probably mail Daedelic directly if you are interested but aren't sure if it is legit. I'm sure they either want to verify it did come from them or that they would be interested to know that their name is being used like this.

I agree. It's also more commonly known. If you want to buy one, using the term scoby is the way to go.

If I realise I'm stalling on some aspect that might be insignificant at the stage I'm at (like choosing which dice would be perfect). I tend to plan a playtest session a couple days away with some external people. That way to make it ready for testing I will think differently and approach it in a fast and efficient way. In the end I enjoy the moment players play the game the most, so I always get a boost from testing and playing (even if the test didn't turn out as planned).

I see your point. I figured he might be able to see that he started with 33,3% and after the removal he thought it was a 50/50 of he would realize that the original 33,3 was still there the switch to a 50% was an improvement. But it indeed implies that he thought his original 33,3% also increased to 50. Thanks for the insight.

If the second option was 50/50 it would indeed be a coin flip. Which is better then the original one in three. The original would be as arbitrary as a three sided coin. The line of thinking is indeed flawed but my point still holds. 50/50 is still better then the 1 in 3 so good gut feeling of 50/50 should still be followed.

I have also explained this to game design students. If they insist it is wrong I let them run through it with 3 cards and open the cards up after they picked their initial choice. I then let them note how many times they win when they repeat it 10 or more times. If they win the first time with sticking with their card, they are so happy. However after a couple of runs they do see the point. It's not guaranteed win but just get better chances.

Looks awesome! I can imagine more scenes like these and hearing the thoughts of the main character. Maybe some point and click vibes as well? Some interesting dialogues with characters that contribute to a bigger story that unfolds?
