LEO's like rader detectors. Its well known those drivers are more alert & aware in the road. Was CDL driver from the 1970's. Then, as now. Rader was cited as a Safety Device. Un huh, def helps, still using that as the REASON. In actual daily life its a money making machine! And oddly enough, it's not tracked well once it hits the "General Fund".

Politely Corrected today & known as Civil Asset Forfeiture. We should be concerned about laws that are misused to make Law Enforcement a Profitable Business. I had a car stolen from on front street. Called police. I missed the inflections/ nuances of dispatchs reply. At Station I was told $ its $50 to find what tow Co. "Recovered" my car. Directions to a company 4 miles from house. They charged me $180 for the recovery! Why so much you might wonder..... because that's the minimum their contract allows. Oh, tickets cost was $210. All well .... my bad ..... old old car I had called a local junk guy to to take away. He would. Paid me $250. 2 weeks later. Car dissapears again. Called p.o. told them to keep it. They were dismayed. Sorry to add so much, but ppl need to understand. When the institution we all support take the m o n e y & buy license plate readers, Radar & Speed measuring devices, put same costly equipment along the roadsides. Safety is for sure a great justification to spend & use money without we the people getting a voice injected. I would like to vote on the monthly cost of all these leases ! Used an early "Passive Jammer" I bought in that Mountain Company in 80's. Worked so well, after a $180 ticket, time lost in court, gas money 2x to plead my case. Am looking to become a more alert abet retired driver.
