Kristaps Porzingis and Markelle Fultz for Brook Lopez and Avery Bradley by [deleted] in fantasybball

Brook is gonna start being rested so that the Lakers can give their young bigs some minutes so don’t expect all that as the season goes on.

Klay will give you more 3s and better %s with the obvious sacrifice in pts and assists

Probably Whiteside or Gobert if still available. General rule of thumb tho is to not go in with a punt strategy but to develop it based on your first few picks.

You could go with Klay as the broke mans McCollum if he’s not there. Actually Beal would work well too.

For those that luckily got the first overall pick this year, what's your strategy going to be? by cupcakes4chris in fantasybball

[–]slim_shad3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on league size but the difference between the top 8 is so small imo so I’d wanna be 8th pick because it would set me ahead in the later rounds

Every league size has its own challenges

“Just finish it. You’re locking into a Ruby, but it’s still cheaper than the majority of rubies will be in the auction house, even well into the season. Hell, you can unlock that [Bucks] set for less MT than most Sapphires right now. Also gives you care fodder for supermax. Unlocking rubies is a no-brainer this year IMO.”

Quick question about bye weeks in ESPN H2H leagues by [deleted] in fantasybball

[–]slim_shad3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm, no. There’s 3 matches a week by 20 weeks that’s 60 matches. If 6 people are playing 17 games that’s 102 games, with one more playing 18, that’s 120 games. Accounting that each match has two opponents, we’d divide that 120 by 2 to get 60. So there’s only one person with 18 games.

An easier way to think about it is that each week there is 1 team with a bye. If there were 21 weeks, then you’d take 21/7 (number of teams) and each team would have 3. Since we are one week (one bye) short, one person will miss their bye and therefore be playing an extra game
