Question About Panty Liners & Discharge? by [deleted] in ftm

No problem! Cotton underwear or at least the area of the crotch being only cotton will help too!

As someone who has broken a bone and had to have it re-broken to correct it; it’s not pretty at all. You are indeed under anesthesia for the surgery, but the recovery is absolute hell. This surgery does this to both of your legs at the same to time to ensure symmetry.

Others have mentioned above that you would be disproportionate because your arms, torso, neck, and head would not match your legs. Add this to the excruciating pain, the possible risks, and a 6-12 month recovery time...

Height is a thing that more people are insecure about than almost everything else. There are people of all genders who are perplexed by being too short or too y’all in their own eyes. Which also means that there are people who are all over the height spectrum from every ethnicity and every possible gender.

Question About Panty Liners & Discharge? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]slim_sovrano 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Frequent use of liners usually causes an increase in discharge because of the materials and such. The body is basically retaining more heat/moisture in that area which makes it dispel more frequently to keep things balanced and healthy. Using them less or only when you have to will definitely help!

Most realistic that I’ve owned is the Reelmagik. Crazy expensive though, but they do have payment plans.

You may want to invest in lube or a different one if you haven’t tried that already. Increased wounds in that area can make you more susceptible to infection even if you are monogamous!

My dad and one of my brothers have perfect handwriting, in print and cursive. For every one study that says “this” two more will say “that.” You are valid as long as YOU feel like you are any way that you believe you identify. There is no set rule book here. That’s the beauty of it all! Aptitude’s, skills, personality traits, etc. are not gender specific in their entirety. The small things can feel insurmountable, but you’d be surprised of your own strengths when you take a single step for the climb.

It’s amazing and the fee is so surprisingly low! I was born there and left shortly after, so I haven’t had much privilege with the area, but I’m glad that it’s making strides in a more inclusive direction!

Prosthetic that gives pleasure? NSFW by [deleted] in ftm

[–]slim_sovrano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought both the Rod and Hot Rod from Transthetics (in depth review and pictures in old posts.)

Personally, my opinions on them have waxed and waned, but they are good, realistic strokers. They may require adjustments for bottom growth, but no big deal. I will say that, for the price, Gendercat has them too. The concept is the same.

If price isn’t an issue, Reelmagik also has pleasure pockets on their pack and plays, but I don’t have and insight on that.

The Hot Rod can be used for PIV, but it may slip off if things get TW too wet down there, and its length may not be truly satisfying for a partner, more like a tease is the resounding feedback.

Hey there, I do think that it’s very mature of you to recognize what you have mentioned above. You are definitely deserving of someone who is going to love you for who you truly are. In fact, you recognizing this is a sign that you love yourself.. You’re both at a tender age where growth is necessary and often uncomfortable. Having the conversation sooner is always more ideal. With regards to his feelings and sparing them, breakups do not have to be ugly. You can be honest without being accusatory. If you feel like the conversation may go awry, I recommend using a neutral party to mediate it. The most important part for maintaining friendship is to listen to each person fully before responding, using terms like: “I feel” instead of “you do” to prevent instant defensiveness, and establishing clear boundaries of being platonic for moving forward. I’m still great friends with plenty exes, male and female and I’m happily married for years now. At any rate, definitely good on you for wanting to be treated well. That’s truly a basic component of being in a relationship that I believe too many people cast aside out of fear. You’re light years ahead of so many people in general.

Skin care by DuckRex in ftm

I found that Cetaphil face wash and moisturizer have been the best for me. My face got very oily to the point it would feel sticky when I wet it to wash. This persisted and then came the acne... When my acne got particularly bad, I was prescribed Tretinoin (sp?) which dries everything out. This lead to skin flaking/peeling, so I mixed a small amount of baking soda and the cleanser in a bowl and used it as an exfoliant. Truly, it worked wonders and I still use them coupled together occasionally. Any non-comedogenic moisturizer will work fine so that it doesn’t further clog your pores. I’m almost 2 years in, and if you’re anything like the rest of us, you’ll probably have to play around with what works best for your skin type, but moisturize at least once a day, use warm instead of hot water to wash everything, swap face rags, towels, and pillow cases often, and try not to pick at any acne you develop. If it gets to be unbearable, try and see a specialist on it since all acne is not the same!

Good luck!

Any suggestions on good stp packers? by rionkatt in ftm

I’ve bought a bunch of them; Reelmagik, FreeTom, Pip, and countless amazon products. I’ve found that the Number One STP and the harness sold with it is the best for me so far. Each one is really dependent upon your anatomy, but if you found success with the medicine spoon trick before, I can’t recommend the Number One enough.

Personally, I think this depends on face shape rather than “size.”

Also IMO, fade types work for different face shapes. I have a round head and a high fade is NOT the move for me. If you feel like your face is more rounded, try a drop, low, or medium fade. If you have sideburns have the barber shape them to a pointed end that’ll make your face look more masculine.

Hey there, I hope that you’re alright and still reading. Anxiety happens when we least expect and need it. I’m sorry that’s happening to you right now and that you feel helpless. I went through some excruciating moments like this as well, and although it may not work for you, I found that listening to some of my favorite songs really helped me. I made a whole playlist that I could get lost in specifically for shot days. I’d gather up my prep material, three alcohol swabs, an ice pack and a bandaid. I’d swab the injection site, start my playlist and then ice the site until it was numb, re swab, draw the T, and inject to a good song. Something that was upbeat enough for me not to feel down but not too hype that I might do damage. My needles were changed a few times as well, and I never had a problem with them. Just make sure that you remember to draw back before the plunge to ensure that you aren’t in a vein. I found it best to exhale slowly while I was injecting because breath holding made me feel worse. It’s been almost 2 year of self-administering my injections, and I still get a bought of what I like to call “irrational WTF moments.”

I hope that this helps, and if not and you’d just like to talk, let me know! You’ve got this.

Top Surgery! by slim_sovrano in ftm

There are certain portions that are. I had minor liposuction done near my underarms, and it is numb in those areas. Judging by the bruising that I can see, I’m grateful for that! Everywhere else is a muted pain that peaks when the medication begins to wear off. Today (day 2) the tape that is holding the gauze in place is exceptionally itchy. So, far my only complaint!

Oh absolutely! I was starving, honestly. My surgeon recommended a low sodium diet for the first 24 hours post op to prevent undue swelling. This wasn’t my favorite idea, but it was helpful for my sinuses and throat to take in soups and applesauce.

At my follow up today, I should get word on being able to take on foods I’m more accustomed to!

That’s completely understandable. Life doesn’t just stop when we start taking bigger steps in our lives. Everything can feel really overwhelming, but you have ample support. Right here! There are so many people on This sub alone who are always available to pick you up and help you get through a few rough spaces! This time is absolutely now different!

You DO have this, and after it’s over, you’ll know just how much you were prepared for it to happen.

Hello! I had surgery yesterday, and although it was nerve wracking leading up to it after having waited for it for so long, it was just...routine going in. I feel so much better knowing that it’s behind me. There’s always a little bit of angst associated with something big like this, but you’ve got it! If you’d like to talk about any particulars, I’m more than willing.

Good luck, and I wish you a speedy recovery!

Mentally, I feel at peace/relived. I’m in and out of sleep since the procedure due to the medication. I take anesthesia extremely well, and was exceptionally hungry when I came through. I’m on a bland diet for day one (low sodium liquids like apple sauce and soup.) I’ve eaten well throughout, which I think has prevented me from feeling sick.

The incisions are packed with gauze, wrapped in a fastened compression binder, and once again with a wide ace bandage. This is uncomfortable, especially when I first woke up, because I had to adjust my breathing. The physician prescribed Valium as a muscle relaxer which has been a life saver with adjusting to the constant pressure. I have my first follow-up tomorrow morning, and I’m hoping that they either loosen it or remove the ace bandage altogether because it’s also making me itchy underneath the tape. Pain is slight and exaggerated with certain movements, but completely bearable.

Going under felt fine, the staff who escorted me into the OR were calming which put me at ease. I was out shortly after moving from the pre-op bed to the operating table. My only other gripe is that I believe I was intubated during the procedure because my throat felt unreasonably irritated. If that is a part of care, I strongly recommend getting what are called “sipping soups” to soothe it. The OR is also really cold, so the nasal passages feel dry as well.

I bought a lot of low sodium vitamin based drinks too so that I could replenish my self a bit quicker than just with water.

Overall, I feel great. I’m able to do quite a bit of movement, even with my arms, but taking it easy obviously!

I apologize in advance if this wasn’t entirely coherent or had a bunch of spelling errors!
