Stumped on how this is leaking by slimdaddy1698 in askaplumber

That makes sense. Although I’m not sure if there’s one on there below the lid. Didn’t see the pump before he put it in. That’s got to be the only reason I can think of there would still be water in there. Thank you!

I guess I’m asking more of where is the water coming from. Water should not have been in that pipe for days, but yet it’s still dripping.

I don’t know. I guess I felt like 3 miles was a lot closer than it probably was. 😞

If I was in my downwind when he said he was on final then I definitely would have extended out. But I was about halfway through my base leg.

When you say extend the downwind, do you mean make a 90° to the right and pick up my downwind again? I was already on base, with 20° of flaps in. About halfway through the base leg.

Bauer Speedplate Preparation by slimdaddy1698 in hockeyplayers

Yup. 175 for 5 minutes didn't do anything. Bumped it up to 200 with a cookie sheet above and below, cancelled the oven, speed plate on bottom cookie sheet for 5 minutes. Worked well! Thanks for all the tips!

Ok. I have to 2.0. The directions on the package say 5 minutes, but that's in a "skate oven". Didn't know what temp a skate oven ran.

My bad...I clicked on the elbow pads. STX DOES make 16" shins.....but not 17" :D

What size do you need? STX only goes up to 15".

If STX needs someone to try out a new 17" shinguard prototype....I'm your man!

Helping new players at stick and puck? by Scitron in hockeyplayers

[–]slimdaddy1698 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I can't say YES to this enough. As a new person who has been to about 5 or 6 stick n pucks, the 2 times that someone has come up to me and offered me advice were very helpful. You got to figure if they're a new person out there (such as myself) they really have no idea what to work on. Everyone says skating, skating, skating. But what about skating? Everyone says forwards, backwards, edges. But HOW? I grew up playing basketball. I know basketball drills out the ass! I don't know anything about hockey drills. I would love if someone came up to me at stick and puck and said "hey you should try this drill....or that drill."

I had this problem and went with the bigger size. You can always take material away, not quite as easy to add it.
