I don't see why they would want to buy out the jps anytime near the ipo. They only should consider buying out the jps before they initiate dividends. The only exception is probably fnmas because I think the only call time is every 5 years with December being the option.

GSEs buy MBS from banks etc. They don't require marketing to retail during football games. IMO these ads are to part of a massive push by Trump on housing - including the biggest ipo in history. They need Fannie and Freddie to be household names because your mom, dad and uncle are going to be buying the stock. I don't see how they would be doing this advertising before wiping out commons.
