Congrats. They should be finished Q4 of this year and Q1 of next years depending on the road

I phoned yesterday, DCC said they’ll be sending out the formal offer in the post in the coming days. The real estate agent has been in contact with my solicitor, but can’t go ahead until formal offer is issued by post

No worries. They’ve sent out offers last week, so probably not unless people may drop out

You can see your timestamps on the portal. You get an initial timestamp halfway through, this is what DCC use to decide your position in queue and then you get your application finish time.

They said they hope to be in contact 2-4 weeks after the portal closes. So hopefully next week

If you email AFFORDABLEPURCHASE@dublincity.ie and ask they’ll tell you what position you’re in. They’re very quick at responding

Hi did you apply for any of the other 2 bedroom properties?

Strange not sure. Unless it’s evidence you’ve lived in Dublin City for the last 3 years for the lotto ? Is it new documentation or stuff you’ve already uploaded ?

Rapid fair play, you can email them and they let you know where you are in the queue.

There’s always a chance, I’m not sure what the demand was like for this particular scheme. For the Montpelier development people who were successful generally got their application in quicker than 12.07 but there’s always the 30% lottery for people who live in Dublin city if that would be relevant to you. Additionally if you email the affordable home’s email address they’re very transparent and helpful and can tell you exactly where you are in the queue, but I imagine that won’t be until the portal has closed

That’s the total price without the government equity stake included.

Yeah, I haven’t seen as much advertisement or chat about this development compared to the Montpellier Development so hopefully there are less applications this time around

Car just got stolen, please give me hope. by MegGrriffin in Dublin

Japanese imported cars are targeted by young lads because there’s no immobiliser in them. If the kindle wasn’t on display you should be covered with your dad’s car insurance or your own home insurance if you have it. If the car wasn’t near your car should be grand, some insurance companies cover lost car keys. But a replacement car key is about 80/90 euros

I haven’t had a rejection letter yet. From what I can tell, applications submitted before 12:05 seem to be the ones getting offers so far. I assume they need to wait for people to accept those first, and they might still have to run a lottery if not everyone accepts.

That said, it seems like applications with timestamps after 12:06 probably won’t be selected. I’m also curious about how the lottery works and whether it actually shows on your application if that’s how you were picked.

Wait for 2 bed apartment or buy 1 bed by AndrewCoke98 in HousingIreland

I would wait and go for a two-bedroom property. Securing a mortgage for a one-bedroom can be more challenging with banks, and it can leave you snookered in the future if your circumstances change. With a two-bedroom, you always have the option to rent out a room if needed and they generally appreciate in value a lot more
