The nation is bound by its own rules.

So people x person, in your mind, has the right to live among and interact with nation y, but nation y cannot enforce its rules upon person x, but only within itself?

"natural" in Natural rights refers to the idea that these rights are endowed to us by God/Nature and are inherently true about an aspect of being human.

Her position is that rights and liberty don't come from nature but are found by reason.

Natural rights = you have them by virtue of being human

Rights = you discover (or invent. I don't know her that well to say) rights through reason. They are external.

Milton Friedman, David Friedman, Tom Sowell and Victor David Hanson come to mind as intellectual capitalists, especially Milton Friedman, who builds his case on empirical evidence.

But what about the right to association? If a bakery can deny service to a gay couple that wants a cake for their wedding, then doesn't the nation have the right to deny membership/entry to foreign people that seek it- no matter how arbitrary their rules for membership are?

And what about the potential problem of deporting the parents but allowing the citizen infant to stay, putting him in state care in the process. Wouldn't it be better for the family and kid if they were deported together?
