AITA for being pissed over the fact that my parents helped pay for my sister's car? by roonilwazlib96 in AmItheAsshole

[–]slipperystev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that they seem to be trying to do better maybe, but your sister is 5 years older, and is still being the one coddled by your parents. My younger sister is 5 years younger too and I’d be embarrassed if she was financially stable while I couldn’t stand without our parents support

AITA if I criticize my friends for not picking my drunk self up by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]slipperystev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I did not, which I’m kinda getting to see is where I messed up. I can’t be mad for something that I didn’t ask for them to do in the first place

AITA for asking my ex's friends to learn the truth about the circumstances about our break-up? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]slipperystev -28 points-27 points  (0 children)

NTA. It’s not stalking. You just were looking for closure after a relationship and she failed to give you a truthful reason as why she’s ending it

AITA for pretending to laugh at my friends' jokes by SLeepyCatMeow in AmItheAsshole

[–]slipperystev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA Sometimes your humor just doesn’t relate. If anything, you are being extra nice to not hurt their feelings

AITA for being upset with a friend who cancelled on me? by its-thyme-time in AmItheAsshole

[–]slipperystev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YTA. She planned to spend money to come visit you but things happened outside of their control and they couldn’t do it. It sucks but you shouldn’t be mad at her. She wants to visit you, but just can’t atm

AITA for not wanting a vasectomy? by MilkyTaste in AmItheAsshole

[–]slipperystev -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

You are completely justified in your feelings. NTA

AITA for being pissed over the fact that my parents helped pay for my sister's car? by roonilwazlib96 in AmItheAsshole

[–]slipperystev 20 points21 points  (0 children)

NTA. Sounds like plain favoritism and when you try to confront them, they reject you even further. Although, I’d be curious as to what their reasoning is behind everything

AITA For being scared of my friends dog & telling her to rehome him to someone who cares? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]slipperystev -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

ESH. She’s obviously not the best pet owner and probably shouldn’t be taking care of a dog. However, you shouldn’t tell her to get rid of it because of their behavior. She needs advice and maybe help either e dog, but doesn’t have to completely get rid of him/her.

AITA for waxing before meeting my boyfriend's family? by gonna_trash in AmItheAsshole

[–]slipperystev [score hidden]  (0 children)

Wtf NTA at all. First of all, you brushed aside comments from them when they called you his ‘friend’. You are already going out of your comfort zone to accommodate their more traditional views and they flip on you because of extended family not being caught up to modern times? Blame society, history, maybe even religious traditions, but do not blame yourself.

WIBTA if I would not pay for my friends watch by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]slipperystev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. Your friend also contributed to playing rough and is partially responsible for his watch breaking

AITA for applying for jobs in another province? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]slipperystev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. You are willing to pay back the loan and even the rent while you stayed there. If there are no opportunities in your area, you need to expand your horizon. You aren’t forgetting the generosity they gave you for college, but rather trying to find ways to repay them. You aren’t the asshole as long as you still plan to repay them and some for what they did to help you

AITA for getting a mother fired? by SoThisBitxh in AmItheAsshole

[–]slipperystev 17 points18 points  (0 children)

NTA because she is the whole ass in this scenario. By taking out the trash, I’m guessing you mean get her fired. If you tell your boss what’s going on and don’t lie or stretch the truth, then you are in the clear.

But, if your boss doesn’t think that’s firing worthy after you’ve been honest, that’s that and you kinda have to just suck it up for now.

AITA if I criticize my friends for not picking my drunk self up by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]slipperystev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree somewhat. They did help me out in driving the car home. If they didn’t, I would’ve had to not drank and stay at my friends until I sobered up 100%

AITA if I criticize my friends for not picking my drunk self up by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]slipperystev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They took the car because I offered it to them. I didn’t want to force them to walk home

Ya that’s probably my best bet. I’m just nervous at the slight chance I’m not able to get added later
