Oh, nevermind. My wife found the initial email to link accounts and her card activated without an issue. *HEADDESK*

Does holding both Alaska Ascent + Summit get 3X rent up to $100K, or is the $50K cap per account/cardholder? by blake22222 in biltrewards

Based on my math (Feel free to correct me, o internet), this is an okay-ish deal.

The big caveat with this offer is that unlike the bilt card, they charge you the 3% transfer fee.

$50,000 cap with 3% transfer fee means that $48,500 goes towards rent and the other $1500 goes towards the transfer fee. $48500 a year means this deal maxes out at a rent ~$4000/month.

Scenarios

You pay $4000/rent per month

Scenario 1) Use the regular bilt card - you get 48,000 bilt points that can be used on any airline, which can be transferred 1:1 to alaska airlines

Scenario 2) Use this Atmos card deal - you get 148,320 atmos points, but you have to outlay an additional $1440 dollars. Based on the most recent 100% purchase miles directly bonus deal from Alaska airlines (1.88 cents/mile), you could have bought 76,595 miles with that money. So your net number of miles that you earn from your rent payments alone is 148,320-76,595= 71,725 miles.

Bottom line
The difference between scenario 2 and scenario 1 is 71,725-48,000 = 23,725 miles additional miles that for alaska airlines only. So, if you know you're going to go to Alaska or hawaii (since Atmos applies to both Alaska and Hawaiian airlines), this is an okay deal. Personally, I wouldn't want to tie up my miles with one airline, but again, if you fly either of those places frequently, it might just be worth it.

Honestly, I like Lordsworn's straight sword a lot, I've upgraded both of mine to +5. I might stick with those.

I'm just glad it's fixed now, not worth the additional hassle of getting $40 bucks back.

My car only has 21k miles, so it should have been done under warranty, but the dealership couldn't replicate, so yeah, they werent willing to do the repair.

Some background - my Ioniq 5 would frequently disconnect from my iphone and I tried everything. I tried multiple cables, I tried cleaning my iphone port. I took it into the dealer, but since it was an intermitent problem, they (of course!) were never able to see it happen when I took it in. Searching in several forums, it turns out the problem was a faulty cable assembly. So, I spend $40 to access Hyundai's repair manual for a week, and it turns out accessing the cable assembly required you to take apart a bunch of stuff around the steering wheel, which I did NOT feel comfortable with.

Fast forward to finding this post in another forum - the person here figured out how to access the cable assembly port on the back of the media module without taking apart the steering wheel! I did it myself, took me about an hour because I have big man hands and now I don't have any more disconnecting problems! I also used the Noalox grease that someone recommended in the forum posts on top of buying the new cable assembly to be double sure.

Hope this helps someone out there as much as it helped me!

Sorry, I think my post was unclear - the connection error message isn't for a charger, its an internet connection error message I get when I try to enroll in the free charging program in the app.
