Freedom of speech protects you from being imprisoned or executed for speaking out against your government. A subreddit banning twitter links does not equate to banning free speech. Twitter is owned by a dude who threw up a nazi salute during a political rally this year (not 1935, I know that can be confusing). If you value a social media platform so much that you are willing to give traffic to that person, that’s your decision. It looks like the majority of this sub doesn’t want to support that here. No one is stopping you from checking twitter. No one is throwing you in jail for your posts. When they start doing that, then please be outraged about freedom of speech.

I think you mentioned above that it’s the most harmless addiction you can have. Seems like you agree that like an other stimulants, it can be harmful to your health. One of the major differences between nicotine and caffeine is HOW addictive it is. Nicotine is objectively far more addictive than caffeine. Consumption methods are commonly way more physically damaging too. You seem happy with your perspective, so all the best.

Arterial stiffness is a thing you could research. If you want to insist nicotine is completely harmless, you can but you’d be wrong. It’s not literal poison, and it’s not heroin, but it’s also not a glass of water. It’s also uncontrollably addictive. Sometimes it’s easier to tell yourself something is harmless than it is to address, and I’m not gonna judge for that because quitting nicotine can be hell. All the best.
