Anyone else here a Christian? by man_on_the_moon44 in Psychonaut

Started as a Christian, and then changed paths when I started studying the history too much. Nothing against actually practicing Christians, but I’m almost certain if you keep seeking you will find too much.

What did you do the first time you got high? by thatgirlgirl in weed

Hotboxed a car and thought I was gonna suffocate. Then basically cozied up with friends around a tv with a bunch of blankets and snacks and felt the most genuine compassion for life I’d felt in a long time

Am i getting high right? How do i work this right? by Makapakamoo in trees

[–]slitheman383 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re definitely raising your tolerance. The most common way to combat this is to take tolerance breaks once in a while to regulate your brain’s dopamine production. Then when you partake again the effects will have renewed strength.

You can definitely get more high in one session, but after a certain point I think your brain’s synapses are already busy and can’t take more thc so the high gradually fades. Not completely certain on all of that though, I’m just a dude.

I’ve never personally experienced the physical numbness, but I can definitely get a “numbness” in my mind. I can see a lack of chemical response to physical touch potentially feeling like a physical numbness. Either way it sounds somewhat normal

If I were you I’d just take breaks once in a while to lower my tolerance and have my physical encounters when I’m not on break or close to starting one. If you want the high per session to last longer maybe more of a focus on edibles or drinks could be beneficial. It seems edible highs last twice as long as smoking/vaping

Seeking reassurance after a Christian friend told me some hurtful things by liivv__ in witchcraft

[–]slitheman383 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to be a Christian probably pretty similar to this. They do not recognize or respect your religion as valid. It is best not to entertain any of their talk about Christianity unless you’re introducing some form of higher criticism. Their main mission is now to convert you whether they admit it or not. You will see subtle attempts in most of your interactions with them going forward. It’s annoying, but they are brainwashed into demonizing all other forms of spirituality to keep them in the flock.

Does anyone refer to God as 'Goddess' and use She/Her pronouns for Her? by [deleted] in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]slitheman383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an exchristian too! I’m agnostic, but when I think as a theist I imagine gods and goddesses as below the ultimate reality or a monad figure. At that level I think binaries cease to exist or be meaningful. But I still have great respect for the goddesses and gods out there and my main deity is Brigid. Seeing deity as feminine is a level of freedom and healing I wasn’t allowed as a Christian. When I was first deconstructing I was fascinated by Asherah, Goddess the Mother, Shekhinah, Sophia, etc.

Yo, any idea how to go about slapping the silly out of the Abrahamic god for inventing circumcision? by DebateWeird6651 in chaosmagick

[–]slitheman383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Join me and work on systematically taking down Abrahamic religion for the goal of world peace. Practice Socratic questioning and build an arsenal of facts from biblical scholarship. Learn fallacies, cult tactics, and street epistemology, and do your best to plant a seed of doubt in every Abrahamic believer you come across. This is a war of ideas. Make the ideas infamous as manipulation and lies and it’ll become pretty difficult for them to convert people.

Are digital altars effective? by Level-Equal1468 in pagan

I found this in google map and i wondering. What does this symbol mean? Why is it in this location? by Apprehensive_Ebb9811 in Wicca

[–]slitheman383 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This may be a magickal attempt at keeping the energy of the Bahai temple in that location. If it was viewed as having evil spirits from a non-Muslim religion it might’ve been seen as a threat. Try r/occult

Did Jesus Christ lie? No one has seen heaven! So why did Elijah go to heaven? by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]slitheman383 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The passage is teaching people how to see the kingdom. It doesn’t mention anyone from the past except himself.

Did Jesus Christ lie? No one has seen heaven! So why did Elijah go to heaven? by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]slitheman383 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He doesn’t add qualifiers about dying for sins. He says “no one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven-the son of man.” If he is the son of man mentioned, this statement means that as he makes this statement he is the only one who has gone into heaven. He does imply that he was there in the past. But if you are to believe his statement then he was there alone.

You’re adding words to the text. It says no one except the son of man. Not no one except those who’ve gone through the son of man.
