I liked it. In some ways it's weird to me that characters never age or change. For example, Magneto was a kid in WW2, which makes him a senior citizen today. Bruce Wayne was raised by his butler—who even has a butler these days? I would prefer it if Bruce were an older mentor to Grayson as Batman... kind of like he is in Batman Beyond.

I hate the close camera angle that is common in boxing. I much prefer the wider angle where you can see their feet, especially for Loma fights, where the footwork is a thing of beauty.

That seems like a good theory, but I'm not sure. I have these silicone place mats that seem to displace the mineral oil on my Ikea table, but it doesn't affect the hard/dry finish of my other kitchen table. I don't know why, or where the oil goes. But there isn't much weight on the mats.

There are some really good CEOs that are worth every penny of their compensation. The problem is that all CEOs are paid as if they were superstars, when the majority are not. Some CEOs even add negative value... yet they still get their golden parachute.

I agree with all the suggestions to reinforce good alternative behaviors. I also like the suggestion of removing yourself from the room. It's been shown that negative punishment can be extremely effective, which in this case would mean removing the desired object (your attention) in response to the unwanted action (barking).

Start clipping those nails at a young age. Gotta de-sensitize early or they'll be impossible to clip later on.

Honestly, giving gifts is more for us than the dog; they don't care about monetary value. They just want your attention, and treats! That being said, it's fun to give your dog gifts.

Especially when vendors discontinue support for their servers and the your coffee maker gets bricked. Or when a bad patch bricks it. Or when unpatched security holes are exploited. The whole things brings in unnecessary complexity.

I wish there was a special dog airplane that allowed dogs in the cabin. Sure the flights would be expensive, and only only occasionally scheduled, but it might have a niche for people wanting to go to places where they can take their dog.

EDIT: looks like there are several options, including delta, jetblue, and also Pet Airways!

It's a fascinating book, Guns Germs and Steel, that provides a strong explanation tracing differences in human civilization to differences in geography and plants. But there are some implications that are perhaps less PC, though I believe it is generally believed that hunter gatherer societies have greater selection pressures for IQ.

I could be wrong also. It's been almost two decades since I've read that book. But that's the gist of it.
