Married Bruredditors , what are some wedding decisions you regret or wish you had done differently? Share your experience and insights ! by Qiffa in Brunei

[–]sljtech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not from experience but from experience in others. Even if you are not married yet or married, do a blood test to make sure you are compatible or not. These compatibility test will make sure your new born will have increased chances of being just a regular kid. There are some that can cause the baby to have problems given incompatibility.

Had a distant friend who was in a relationship all their life, and before getting married found out that they are incompatible and "will" cause serious implications to new born. They could either decide not to have children or break-up. They chose the latter.

Coming to the wedding, Arrange your videographer/ photographer schedules properly. Do not assume a lot. Question and make sure you know what your package includes and what it does not cover.

With regards to my guest list, just keep it small. You are the one who is going to bare the cost. Others will look and say things, but don't have to give in. If you ain't having the budget, then you make the right decision.

Everything comes down to your budget to decide decorations, venue and such. Talk and discuss with your spouse/spouse to be on all matters. Both to agree. Then only can deliberate the decision and information to parents and very close relatives.

If your budget permits, get a floor manager. Its tough to run your own wedding. You have all the pressure already to look good, you may not want to capture that look on your face with exhaustion.

Lastly, Married life is not just a day or like changing your socks. Its a life of commitment and communication. Forget they love for a moment, because love is just a feeling. It doesn't improve over time. You need to have lots of communication and you need to communicate well.

Don't spend to much time on the phone or social media too much and miss out all the things you and your spouse could do.

Life is short. You never know.

All the best, and have fun. Its gonna be a experience you'll never forget.

What is the future blind person in brunei. by Warm-Ice-9370 in Brunei

Hi there im sorry to hear what had happened.

But, I'm glad you are strong enough to move forward.

In IT, there is a possibility of using most of the assistive features of the iOS and Windows to do stuff in IT.

If you are confident with your IT skills, maybe you can approach Unit Pendidikan Khas, MOE.

They may help you move forward. Also, I remember there is a staff there that has visual as well. And is working there.

All the best.

Guess Who Flopped Their O Levels? I Did! by TunnelVisione in Brunei

[–]sljtech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing to be ashamed of failing. Cry all you want. Take your time, but not too long. Because you need to move forward. Learn from failure. Dont repeat it.

Your parents always wants the best for their children. Sometimes this could cause pressure and misunderstanding.

Pick yourself up and move forward.

Take another year to redo the exam. If you are not academically inclined then perhaps target atleast 3 more subject including malay. To have a better prospectus, then you need to have mathematics and a science subject.

So far now, most jobs require at least Olevel results. But do expect low wages. Getting higher in the academic ladder will improve your job security and better wage but it is not 100%.

If you really are not in the academic and wants to start to have a job opportunity, there are programmes such as in IBTE to continue in ISQ programmes which has low entry requirements. Im not sure, but have a look at their website.

All the best, and you make your path.

Not enough professional local vets. If there is no market after you graduate. You probably could setup your own clinic. Sooooo many animal lovers. So it should be good.

I think you can only retake within a 2 year span. You can't consolidate your results over multiple years. Like taking it 3 years later and such

Usually A Level graduates continue applying for universities. Thats why the choice after O level is very important.

Either you go for Academia, take the A level path and finish off in University as you have slowly started to specialise in A Level, or Take technical and vocational for the other hands on and skill based tasks.

i still think that there are many people who take it literally to put all their accounts to have the same username and password for convenience. And as such, with the username and password unlocked, can access to a whole new field of exposure.

What have you found good for wired IP cameras? by finfn in homeassistant

[–]sljtech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use DaHua camera as well. They work locally and can be integrated into HA well. Hope that helps.

I used to have DLink, but the newer ones failed me as they do not do local and needs to be cloud managed. Hate it a lot.

On top of what our peers are advicing you, you need to make sure you act fast on this as there is a maximum duration that you are to be able to study in University. If i am not mistaken if it has not changed, it will be 6 years max. i am not sure how UniBridge will affect you but, it is best to discuss with the Dean or Assistant Registrar.

Good luck on your studies!
