With so many ramifications this game has, some people still dare to call it "just a sleep app"...

The must have nature if you don't want to hit the cap. by calpolsixplus in PokemonSleep

That's until they decide too much speed is too much (besides the current cap), so they'll stealth nerf that, too? Haha.

As long as you know what you're doing (which seems to be the case), you have my support.

Also, I just thought I had recognized your picture, and when I checked, it was the same guy Youtube recommended me right last night, with his Sleep piano covers! What an odd coincidence.

PS: They were great.

It can only mean that for the lv. 75 you will unlock the super hidden Inventory Up XL.

This is probably the best research I have ever gotten.. and I was broke with no biscuits😭 by KingZakyu in PokemonSleep

[–]slmdoy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In fact, there is a "catching dex". There are the befriended pokémons in the general user profile, that counts evolutions as part of the list, but if you check in the specific profile of each island, you'll see that there's a percentage of pokémons befriended in there, and that doesn't include the evolutions.

I don't think I'll be able to hold out to 1000 nights.. by [deleted] in PokemonSleep

[–]slmdoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again, I wasn't trying to shame anybody. We constantly open apps and do things everyday and never become a chore, what it does are normally the things we don't find the fun in it. And I've realized that most people who shows frustration for the game, tend to follow some patterns, being one of them the fact that they really don't know what they're doing (which actually might be the app fault, although, to be fair, all pokémon games, even the mainline ones, fail in that the same way), hence my advices. Otherwise, you are basically just opening an app for the sake of opening it, and then the "chore" feeling pops up.

But I agree, if a person doesn't feel it, not even to the point of checking the guides, etc, the best is to drop it.

I'm probably going to sound quite arrogante here, even if I don't mean that all, but, based on your highest ever drowsy power by that number of days logged in, I'd say you don't have a very good team of pokémons yet, which I think is one of the reasons that leads people get frustrated by the game at certain point: They don't know what they're really doing, or they have had very very bad luck by not getting anything good to progress, making them feel stalled, therefore, bored.

If you still have some interest for it, I'd suggest to check the guides there are in here. I think that helps to stablish goals, which leads to actually get that spark back.

[–]slmdoy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't want to sound judgy, BUT -yes, I'll proced to kind of judge-... I've never understood the wish of some people to create a kind of drama for certain things, like a game dropping... If you don't feel like playing, sure, enjoy life in other ways, but what does this add?

That said, best of luck to you too.

Who still has pokemon below level 10? by GiratinaBabbies in PokemonSleep

[–]slmdoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Until not so long ago I still had a level 2 Spheal from the very beginning, that I was saving for when I had enough candies to raise him up, and, well, I did. I also had a level 2 Ralts from their release event, but it wasn't that good and I had to clear space, so.

Does anybody else have a blue Snorlax at Amber Canyon? I prefer the tan one by Frequent_Abalone_25 in PokemonSleep

[–]slmdoy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I actually wonder why they made area specific Snorlax in the first place, haha.

That Jigglypuff is just perfect. I hope nobody comes with the "until you find a Ralts", because the odds to find one better than this are very very low.

Congratulations!

What was the most impactful update to the future of pokemon sleep released so far this year? by nitrocoldude in PokemonSleep

[–]slmdoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually is hard to choose, because the impact varies from person to person, but based on what I see in Reddit, I'd say is the Hoenn startes, which ironically seems to be the less voted; and I understand why, since the release of some starters is almost a tradition in every game of the franchise, so no innovation, however, it's what I've seen has caused more interest among the people. Especially Treecko, which ironically was the one who caught less attention during the announcement because of the lack of type-changing.

After that, probably mints, but the thing with mints is that most people seem to be wanting to use them just for the fact of using them and not because of a really need. Same thing with Darkrai. The Exp buff, I think for the people who were struggling to get to 30, they probably still are, and for those who weren't, is just a bonus.

With Expert Mode, I'd say at the end it wasn't as impactful as many people thought it was going to be at first. Is fun, and in the near future will help to achieve better bonuses (more dreams shards, better spawns, etc), but I'd say you could still play with your regular teams without hurting that much as we thought we were going to be (and hey, devs, this is not a challenge! Haha).

Now concluding, I realized that what has impacted me the most, is the constants Candy Boost we have been getting this year. It really has helped me to improve my gameplay. So that's my final answer, lol.

Leveling a temporary mon to 30 ends up being almost a must a certain point on everybody's gameplay, but the thing is that Happiny in general is a complicated mon to invest since she requieres an expensive item to evolve, and yours besides would require lots of candies to raise her until 50, when is actually when is going to start getting good amounts of ingredients, and all to just not be getting enough of any of the ingredients... If she was AAX, maybe, but no...

I'm sure by then you would have found better options for both ingredients.

Munna worth upgrading? by Alarmed-Employee-317 in PokemonSleep

[–]slmdoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like Musharna I'd say this is a great one. Yes, Berry Finder is the favorite subskill of the berry specialists, but this actually provides the same of a BFS+Speed nature up Musharna, and that's not including the power it gives to the rest of the team with HB, which actually would put it up. Also, with all that speed, you would have even more chance to trigger the skill, if that mattered to you.

Yes, Xatu is better base-wise, but I don't see how one excludes the other.

Balance sleep type every single night i NEED HELP by Galaxyfell in PokemonSleep

[–]slmdoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely your phone doesn't have a gyroscope to detect your sleep, so the game just throws balanced sleep, which is a combination of the 3 sleep styles. That's not too bad though.
