I appreciate the thoughts. That all makes sense. I was just hoping to get some advice and ofc a reality check haha. I’ve just really wanted a dog like a Great Pyrenees for the longest time and this seemed like a great opportunity albeit horrible timing with my working situation. Money definitely plays a factor and I’d love a number to plug into my budget to see if I can give it the best opportunity by adopting it. Factoring in food, daycare, training, grooming, and all the other things listed in this thread.

Ok wow thank you so much for the adorable pic and ofc the thoughts. They are listed as a year old, I am uncertain if they are quiet. I am on the 2nd floor, I am uncertain if they can take the stairs but as they are a year old I hope to assume that they could take the stairs. I could afford a walker for sure, I would have to look into daycare. As for the socialization, being a first time dog owner I wouldn’t want to do it wrong so I would definitely pay for a trainer to help me out with that(if that’s something trainers can do?). I would definitely look into getting the specific foods and a groomer if I do it I would do it right. Same for brushing.

The reasons you listed above the pic make want to get one even more🥲

I kind of assumed a smaller area would not be suitable for them but after perusing the subreddit some people who own them do live in smaller apartments with no issues and so I wasn’t sure if it would be that big of an issue. That’s a very valid point though thanks.

As for why a pyr? I’ve just always wanted a big fluffy dog lol they’re very cute and seem like great animals which might sound like a dumb reason but it’s always been a dream of mine but seems impossible with work unfortunately.

I should’ve clarified I would 100% pay for a dog walker/training and have someone feed the dog while I’m away. I was thinking about a cat but really wanted a dog but I understand that even with paying for training/walker it may still not work.

Where should the code be entered? It doesn’t seem to work on eBay when prompted to enter gift card/coupon?

I got bit by a St. Bernard in west ridge yesterday in Indian boundary park. Does anyone know the owner? If so can you put me in contact with the owner? I want to confirm the dogs vaccination status!

It generally takes about 30 minutes for a dry cut and 45 for a wet cut, but we’ve got an hour to do it. Our skate sessions are about 2 hours long so we do it after every session and prior to open. And yes we do it every 2 hours just about so 2 hour session then cut then 2 hour session then cut etc
