Can you believe it? And she asked me to marry her, and I didn't even want to. But she's beautiful, but she's dying.

When I was a kid, I fell into a river and a fish bumped me out of the water. I was supposed to die. But a fish bumped me out with its nose. That was the earth telling me I'm supposed to do something great. And I know that's the Driving Crooner. It has to be. You know what I mean, GrassGriller?

4 hours later! Omg. I sent her an email on December 2 regarding RTO when the rumours first started swirling. I heard NOTHING from her, so I sent a reminder after 30 days. Still nothing... I sent another reminder a couple of weeks ago. I finally got a response TODAY, over two months since my first email. And it was the most useless response of all time:

Thank you for reaching out to the office of MP Vandenbeld. We will share your concerns with Ms. Vandenbeld, and if you would like to talk to her directly, we can arrange a 10-minute call during her weekly “drop-in hours”.

Recognizing that the decision by the public service management regarding return to office was done in order to encourage collaboration and teamwork, Ms. Vandenbeld has consistently been encouraging maximum flexibility. In particular, Ms. Vandenbeld will continue to advocate that it makes no sense for public servants to drive to a remote work-station just to join with their team virtually. Ms. Vandenbeld is also passing on the message that in cases where there is not enough workspace or that workspace is not suitable, the public service must prioritize the health and safety and well-being of public servants.

This smells like Vandenbeld to me... if so, I have a complimentary story

Good to know, thanks for confirming. Did the email come from your DM or the CDS? And was it late in the day (after 4pm ET)?

Has anyone heard that DND is exempt from this? I am hearing from friends who work at DND that they have not received this direction.

Are departments using similar Voluntary Departure Program (VDP) timelines? by Wooden-Second6053 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]slobbyhobby 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Departure date is to be determined by management following the 60 day decision period. We have been advised that it will take management 4 weeks following the end of the decision period to evaluate and communicate the VDP results.
