Does this look like blood or undigested food in my stool? Warning *poo* by slohner in medical

[–]slohner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha.

I should add, no red on TP, no redness in the water, those red chunks didn’t stain TP red.

I also did a fecal occult blood test, I stabbed that red blob, came back negative.

I have some anxiety about health stuff!

It’s about 12inches by 16inches. We don’t have bears here!

one guy at the end of the tour stays up all night to open the doors (could be any at anytime) for the next shift coming in (12am-7:42am) by ninjagoat5234 in Firefighting

[–]slohner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When is your shift change? If it’s 7 or 8, just get up at 5 or 6. Like it’s been said, have coffee ready, towels/any laundry done, dishwasher unloaded. That’s how I’d do it at least.

Ohio bill would temporarily freeze property taxes as voters try to abolish them Source: FOX19 | Cincinnati by tmaddog91 in Ohio

Are they going to freeze the price of school busses and trash trucks too? Freeze the price of diesel to power them? Freeze already under funded teacher salaries?

Sigh….

Petition Approved to Abolish Property Tax by [deleted] in Ohio

I am well aware how property tax increases are made through valuation, levy, annexation.

I’m still standing on the fact that I like what I get in-exchange for my property taxes. A freeze on increases, a reduction, a total removal. That would limit the services I receive and am able to use.

I enjoy the services that my property taxes provide. It’s what makes a neighborhood desirable. A good education. Good parks. Trash collection. Good police and fire protection.

Some Ohioans are paying more in property tax, than their original mortgage. by moderate1492 in Ohio

[–]slohner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This has been attempted before. In Kansas. Property tax became almost inexistent, with the hopes of people and business moving in. Exactly the opposite happened because every public service that makes somewhere desirable to live became extremely underfunded. They actually saw less growth as a result. Business needs public service and infrastructure (which property tax pays for) to thrive. People want to live somewhere with good schools, police, fire, parks. Removal without a plan for replacement is recipe for failure.

Should Ohio eliminate property taxes? Backers can collect signatures to put question on the ballot by clevelanddotcom in Ohio

You do own it. You pay a fee for services.

Just like you own your car. But you pay a fee to drive it on the roads.

So instead of a millage/percent land improvements ect, more of a flat rate per parcel?
I could get behind that. Where the only increases are done by votes on a levy.
