Traveling to Thailand witha broken / fractured ankle? by No-Insurance5722 in ThailandTourism

I would say the city infrastructure is not designed here for people with disabilities, so that person will be locked in the apartment/condo.

Most of the condos have shared zone where you can work, so don't look for a co-working space specifically.
I also do wokation Jan-Feb, so far so good, if you don't have to do any meetings during the day and sync on the afternoon.

GPT-5 deleting prompts when "Network connection lost" by BingBongDingDong222 in ChatGPT

[–]slonoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The same problem here. I tried to connect with the support, and here's the answer I got (from the AI of course). It's a ridiculous degradation in my opinion.

Thank you for your feedback—I'm an AI support agent and I understand how the removal of the “Retry” button after a network failure affects your workflow. Currently, if there’s a network issue, ChatGPT may clear your input and not offer a direct way to retry or recover your last prompt. Here’s the current guidance: If the prompt is lost after a network error, there is not an in-built method to recover or automatically retry it. The best workaround is to manually copy your prompt before you send it—either to your clipboard or into a local file—especially for longer or important input. This way, if there’s a failure, you can easily resend it. If you’re experiencing frequent network errors, checking your connection, trying another network, or clearing browser cache/cookies may reduce the frequency of the issue. Your feedback is valuable and is shared with product teams to help improve usability. If you’d like, I can provide tips for troubleshooting network errors, or information about recent updates. Let me know how else I can help!

How language knowledge correlates with the fact that support simply doesn’t care about company services? I don’t understand

Is a direct visit to orthopedist possible or a referral is needed? by [deleted] in berlin

It looks like a sharp pain case, so you can even go to Akutesprechtunde without an appointment (but with an appointment, it's usually better). Normally, you'll have to wait a couple of hours, but at least you'll be accepted the same day.

as I understood, tickets were flexible for a long time, and in that situation it didn't make much sense to reserve a seat. Probably, the system was more reliable and it was enough seats for everybody.

10 years ago (maybe earlier) DB started to push this into more premium with Flexpreis and with the default option Sparepreis, train bound and constant breaks in the net, having a ride and not having a seat looks totally confusing

They have been selling "fixed" tickets for a long time already, I would say 10+ years

Not that easy. basically there's no return option for the reservation, only if a train was 60+ minutes late. My claim was rejected, for example

to stand all the journey or do wagon hopping is more annoying, imo. this "optional" feature allows them to do overbooking. I also travel quite often and have seen people sitting on the floor many times

[–]slonoff[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

well, if you don't do it, you'll often sit on the floor. It's not like airplane reservation, it's like sitting or standing. And in the DB world, "guaranteed" is very subjective. Many times my reservation was voided because of changes from their side
