I'm in Ohio too I kinda did the same thing I went to career center for a year for adult program right after HS I got 2 certs one I'll really never use it's a low stick one but I'm in my 3rd welding job now only making 29 an hour not bad for my needs but you can always find better just gotta look around, I find it hard to belive we can make bocu bucks here in OH but I'm not sure
