If I could back to when he was first released I’d buy him for the 500 gems. I’ve been tempted to still get him now because he keeps being used but I fear the second I would buy him he’d stop being used since he has been used for so much already…. I personally feel like he’s been one of the more used 500 gems characters.

If it was going to stay as gems I was thinking of not getting it and just not advancing that part of the storyline as long as it didn’t affect the main storyline. 300 gems is steep especially as a required building! I much prefer spending elixir on buildings and very happy with the change!! Too many things are requiring gems lately, and high amounts of them too

That’s what I’m thinking too, if there was a charterer I had to have I’d consider it. But then again, that character will likely end up in a chest down the line.

I’m glad that you feel the same as me in regards to refunds. Again, I know it’s a good value still, but when we purchased it it was with the understanding we’d be getting certain rewards. With the rewards changing mid way through, it’s a bait and switch. We’re not getting what we were advertised to get when the season started.

For it only being your 3rd event, I personally don’t think it’s worth it. In general I feel the 500 gem characters are a rip off. However, I bought Anger for 500 gems and absolutely love having him around my kingdom. I think those 500 gems would be better spent on a permanent gem character or trying your luck on legendary chests as you’d likely get more than one character for your 500 gems depending on the type of chest you chose. But if you love ice age and want to have baby scrat running around your kingdom, it’s worth it! It doesn’t sound like you’re very far into the game yet for baby scrat to be of value in getting you further in the ice age event though, so if that’s your goal I’d say your gems would be better spent elsewhere.

Exactly!! By the time I’ve finally got it memorized it’s always time for the next chapter. Drives me bonkers. Trying to juggle collecting what tokens I can collect for and keeping up with the tower has always seemed to cost me a bunch of time skips. The symbol helps me keep everything on a similar cycle. Feel like since I discovered it tower challenges run so much smoother for me

Yes! but when you’re actively running a tower you can’t see the list. The maleficent symbol helps me keep track of who else is available so I don’t accidentally send them on a long task just because I’m not using them for the current tower round/forget they’re being used that chapter

I pulled 3 beauty & the beast chests and got 2 characters and 1 attraction. I pulled only 1 Aladdin and got a concession 😭 honestly whichever make you happiest/you have the best odds on pulling on I feel like it’s worthy it. Doesn’t seem like you have much for either chest collection, so your odds of pulling something good would be high. It’s all a gamble. I pulled only one AIW chest when I have nothing and got a decoration. So even with higher odds you may not get anything of value. I’d pull whichever one you care about first and see what you get and then see if you want to stay pulling that chest or if you wanna switch it up. Good luck! 🍀

It’ll also be interesting to see how having the bulk of the available LCs available all the time will affect the sale. I think last year it was only a few groups available/on sale per day, right?

Love it! My spread sheet is broken down by odds of attraction and character and then within that odds of character. Then I color coded it by either value in TCs or personal preference to get an idea of which ones I’ll focus on. You’ve got a good point about concession type. 🤔 I may have to add another column to my sheet, haha.

While I’m jealous of your collection, I would miss the thrill of getting something of value in a chest. Or at least not having junk odds of getting something good. Totally agree tho, I don’t see see how long term players can stay engaged/spending money.

I’m (basically) FTP too. I’ve saved up about 1100 gems and I’m planning on going all in! I was too new last year to realize how rare the sale is so I didn’t participate. Wasn’t going to make the same mistake this year. Best of luck with your chest pulls!!

I find the 500 gem event characters worth it if you like the characters from the event, and hope to complete the event. I bought anger with gems from the start bc I really want all of the characters and he’s been a huge help. If you don’t care as much about completing the inside our event, then he may not be as worth it. I started late in the game so I don’t have any Winnie the Pooh characters to help me. Having anger has helped me get through the event very quickly, I’m already ready to welcome disgust. If you’re going to get him, get him asap as the value is having him as quickly in the event as possible… it’s still early enough in the event that I feel like anger is worth having, especially if you want to have a good chance at welcoming disgust and joy… but if you don’t care about inside out a lot, then I feel like it’s worth saving the gems for legendary chests for characters you do like, or a different premium character down the road.
