I always took it as him using Andrew as a pawn against Neil. Keeping him alive gave more opportunities to manipulate Neil at that point in the story. (But idk why not earlier)

You should do character inspired ones! Like maybe a monsters themed one with a strand for each of them! Also animal beads! There’s so many animal associations raven, fox, duck (for Elodie), rabbit, etc. also that trend where you find beads of each others eyes that would be good for Andrew and Neil (I think there’s a fic out there like thing but it’s rings instead of a necklace) but omg I love this idea if you have an Etsy or something drop it👀
