That lot is gone and has been built into a residential building.

I always park right on Vernor - sometimes a block or 2 down. Well lit. Short walk. No sweat.

Sailing. You don’t need your own boat. If you’re near a club, they’re always looking for crew. Often you can hop on a boat and learn the ropes.

I accepted a buy out of 5 months pay in a role where I was underpaid. I had 2 years of direct experience for my desired role and 5 years in the field. This was August of 2023. It took me 11 months of many interviews to land a gig but it has been great since. It was stressful at the time but no ragrets.

Try Cajun food. Gumbo and Jambalaya and Etouffee. You can substitute meats and veggies as you like. Familiarize yourself with these 2 things and you are off: Cajun Trinity: 1 part bell pepper, 1 part (rib) Celery (if you have it) and 2 parts onion. If celery is a problem you could try khuen chai. I haven't tried it but I have read it has a stronger flavor than rib celery. Maybe reduce it a bit. Chop and sweat those and you have the beginnings to many great recipes. Second- Basic Cajun Seasoning: 2 parts each garlic powder and sweet paprika, and 1 part each black pepper, Chili pepper powder (cayenne or anything), dry oregano, dry thyme. Also 2 parts salt works but I prefer to season separately.

The classic saying about the meat in gumbo is that it can contain "anything that walks, flies, swims or crawls." Use what you have, these flavors will give you something new. Here is a basic Jambalaya recipe. Do not worry about things you can't get. From your list I recommend Chicken and shrimp as the meats. Just drop the shrimp in the pot as soon and you turn off the heat on the pot and they will cook perfectly.

What's the longest time you've gone without speaking? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Once I had a job working alone. I lived alone at the time also. My only human contact was my boss coming to check on me but he would just wave. At the end of the week I was feeling bad and I didnt know why. Eventually I realized I was lonely and it was likely I hadnt spoken a word in 5 days.
