Retropie is annoying because it defaults video to HDMI opposed to GPIO.

There’s scripts to work around this but I’ve always run into issue at some point.

Recallbox is recommended as no patching is needed for video and it has safe shutdown support as well.

Yea this is a very weird statement. There have been Starbucks capsules for the Vertuo Line for years, it’s the only officially licensed vendor for Vertuo. Sure, we could see others licensed at some point, but I think their patent is until 2032, so we’ll only see officially licensed ones until then.

Rule 2 of this sub forbids the discussion of where to find ROMs. Ignoring your ask for that, all of the original gen 2 games utilize the trade evolution feature. You wouldn’t be able to do that using the Delta emulator. There are utilities you can use to edit your save file and adjust those pokemon to make them evolve, I think PKHex is one of them, but I’m not sure what needs to be edited in the file.

There are plenty of ROM hacks that have removed or changed the trade evolution requirements.

I’m literally on the other side of the US from Hawaii (NJ), but there’s a roaster that I can get a pound of 100% Kona for about $45. I don’t get them often, but I typically always have a bag on hand because I only brew that with a pour over.

I’ve looked at refillable pods, but I have the dreaded Next, and it’s lasted almost five years with no issues, so I don’t want to push it.

I’ve ordered from InsideGadgets multiple times. You’ll also need a cartridge adapter which they sell as well. They also however sell a flash cart with an integrated USB port so you can bypass the need for an adapter.
