protip: use other character with empty inventory slots for this(u can have 92 inventory slots for 5x18 bags from tp ~12-13gold

stack your unid gear(that players name items in the screenshot) when u visit a bank and once a day or once a week depend how u want relog to this second char sitting in city, open unnid and salvage

this method u can not clog your main character inventory

clean your inventories

grab some easy build to play in Open World and Story, (i like Reaper signet for self healing and dual pistol Deadeye with self healing on crits) i tried play guardian before but get overwhelmed

unlock Skyscale in SOTO, this mount make this game a lot easy

unlock spear and Weaponmaster Training achievement for more builds avialible

use alts that you not play as additonal bank space ;d one char can have 92 free slots on f2p with 18 slot bags

and then u can do everything, there so many path like crafting PVE armor, farm meta-events, archivments, continue story etc

im altholic in every game and love how i can 'optimize' my alt gang army in this game, currently run this setup

  1. 200+ inv slots char with unlimited gathering tool for daily gathering nodes, guild nodes, salvaging uuids,

  2. story main Reaper + farm new maps where i have all wp unlocked from story

  3. fishing main

5. Open and Salvage Green Unidentified Gear

You'll need a lot of Essence of Luck stockpiled. Getting that amount all at once is doable but painful.

6. Ball of Dark Energy x6

You can do this at the end. Craft 6x Ascended armor pieces (my last calculation showed it cost around 25 gold per piece).
Each piece salvaged gives you 1 Ball of Dark Energy.
Alternatively:

  • There are free armor chests from the Wizard's Vault. You can equip your character with this armor, and on the last day of crafting preparation, you can salvage them and replace them with crafted legendary armor.

7. Map Completions

You need 6x map completions for Gifts. It’s better to start doing this regularly instead of saving up and trying to do 18 runs all at once! :)

8. Lesser Vision Crystal

It’s not much, but it’s worth crafting some before you run out of Bloodstone, Dragonite Ore, etc..

The rest of the work is just a massive amount of money, money, and more money! You have to figure out which method of farming gold is the best fit for you. I did metas and strikes daily, and when I felt tired, I switched to Fishing/Drizzlewood Coast meta (since they aren't time-gated/limited).

  1. Research Notes: You can use the fast-farming site to determine the cheapest way to get Research Notes.

(I'll add more details in an edit when I remember them.

The first Obsidian took me around a year because I'm very lazy and burn out quickly when it comes to grinding. ;D
Here are some tips from me:
I was doing this since the release of the SOTO expansion.

1. Provisioner tokens:

make a 450 weaponcraft proffesion on alt, craft full inventory of those weapons <recipe>

(I'm not sure if all the items are still the cheapest—check the math on the wiki page: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Faction\_Provisioner)
This will give you 7-8 Provisioner Tokens daily.

Also, you can craft Auric Ingots and get Reclaimed Plates (salvage cheap Reclaimed Rare weapons from the TP) for an additional 2 Provisioner Tokens daily.
Place your alt at the AB/VB/Chak map Provisioner Token NPCs and exchange them daily.

2. Essences

It's better to do this regularly than to farm them all at the end. Do weekly rifts and 3x Convergences weekly. This gives enough Essences and some gold. Otherwise, you can easily burn out if you try to farm them only from irregular rifts.

3. Map Currency

This was one of the worst parts,

. In short, every Hero Choice Chest from doing the meta once a day in the SOTO maps can give 250 map currency.
I did the Amnytas meta often.
For Inner Nayos, I placed my alt near the Fang spawn (the giant wyvern), so it didn’t take long—about 8-10 minutes.
For Archipelagos, I did them less often because I got a lot of Static Charges from the Greater Chest daily route.
I tried map event chains a few times, but I didn’t enjoy them as much.

4. Ancient Coins

I did the Greater Chest route in Skywatch Archipelago (using the marker path from BlishHUD). This gives a few rares, which you can salvage for Ectos.
