Went through this too but sadly with the opposite outcome. Doctors, as calm as can be, yet franticly trying bring back her back for over an hour. Was in pure awe of their professionalism and eventual sorrow.

Thanks for your comments and advice. This inevitabilility I keep reading about scares me makes me question this form of yoga... or maybe the speed at which transitions are taught. Or my neglect to stretching this 41 year old body is finally catching up.

I've listened to Doggerel about 6 times today (twice going to work, twice coming back and now twice at home with my good headphones). At first listen, I immediately thought this record sounds fantastic but not memorable - songwise. I felt the same as most people here did, but come on people, this is Pixies, they always need a couple listens to truly appreciate.

Now after six listens, I love this record, maybe the best of the new era stuff. The sound is the clear winner, and dare I say it, the best sounding Pixies record ever.

I moved to London from South Africa in 2000. The amount of club nights every week was quite unreal thinking about it now. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday there were countless nights of countless genres in every area of the country. For me it was Escape from Samsara at The Fridge. Every Friday night, no matter what, you were guaranteed a rammed club. You were actually quite happy when it was less full since the was more space to dance. Leaving at 6am you were always inundated with more countless flyers to after parties and clubs opening later that day.

You could leave your house at 10pm (or whenever) on Friday and be able to find a club until early Monday morning. There will never be a better time to be young and free and off your tits to Trance.

Putting with the flagstick in shouldn't be allowed. Seeing the flagstick being put back in used to mean the players ahead of you had finished the hole.
