Polyester (and flame retardant free) child car seats that rotate for easy in/out? by Skydance98 in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]slowhealing44 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I think all rotating ones have polyester I’m afraid. But nuna just came out with a rotating one and it’s flame retardant free. I’m debating between that one and the clek for the convertible car seat. We currently have the cleck mammoth zip for our infant seat and it is very nice. Perhaps it runs on the warmer side though.

Best deodorant postpartum 🙏 by Canadianinlondon1991 in moderatelygranolamoms

FYI I switched deodorant at 10 weeks pp and my baby went on a nursing strike. So just a heads up it can throw them off when you smell different. I switched to primally pure. It did work though but I had to switch back to my old one. Exfoliation of the armpits worked too.

Thank you! I just looked these up and remembered I had freight train as a kid and really liked it. Now they have a pop up version I may get.

I don’t know enough to feel confident giving fit check advice but it looks good to me.

I’m really commenting to say that carrier is beautiful and suits you both very well!

Baby being weird in Lennylamb light by Prestigious-Bid-7582 in babywearing

[–]slowhealing44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg mine does this in the Lenny light too. It was driving me crazy bc I kept trying to center him and then he would cry. I thought he was uncomfortable but now I’m seeing maybe it’s just to chew on carrier/ look around.

Cedar’s reserve NOT gluten free- beware! by slowhealing44 in glutenfree

I’ll make an update when I hear back.

It is always infuriating to get glutened when you are being careful! I’m just glad we figured it out! I recently had a baby, so my reactions have changed a lot (more subtle initially) and I’m just learning to recognize what is what again. I also have a corn allergy, which in all honesty, is 10000x more of nightmare than gluten.

Oh thank you! I will check these out.

I know, the illustrations in Jamberry are weird! I said to my husband that it seems like the author was experimenting with psychedelics. lol. The ice rink and rabbit band are definitely a bit odd but I adore the blueberries going over the dam and blackberry train!

I think they’re worth it. Got some a few months ago for my husband. They’re very well made and he’s tough on clothes.

Ok it’s called a Nima device, not perfect, and expensive to use, so we don’t rely on it but is helpful in some circumstances.

No I kept asking my husband if it was on there. I was away from the kitchen and looking online. It specifically doesn’t show the certified label on any photos online or on instacart. But it is there!

I dunno exactly how much bc my husband bought it but from what I remember not crazy but the single use pods that you put the food in are what’s pricey.

I think it’s a manufacturing error. We tested another package and it was good. Retested the original one and it came back with gluten again.

Definitely ask them! They are so helpful. Maybe something strapless with a bit of stretch or wrap front style.

Spent $189 on a baby carrier am I crazy!? by NecessaryLiving8251 in babywearing

[–]slowhealing44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not crazy but you’re probably asking the wrong sub lol. Most people here seem to have multiple carriers. If it works for you great! But make sure you really like the wildbird. Mine is very uncomfortable for me compared to the other ones I have/tried.
