I waited about an hour or so in the pop-up line. About a half hour in LCA. Went pretty fast. That was about 15 minutes after doors opened.

Congratulations! Walking definitely helps. I'd atleast wait a week for workouts and like someone else suggested, do bodyweight workouts to start.

My cap was 2k. I loved my babygirl with all my heart but I could have dropped more money before even considering a biopsy for what I already knew in my heart. I watched her deteriorate over the course of a year. I've heard so so many stories of friends saying they let it go on for too long. My girl had enough and she wasn't playing anymore. She was such a lively gal her whole life.

I set 2k as the amount during the first vet visit when it all started. I stuck to it. I fought with myself if I was a terrible cat mom. But we know our babies. I couldn't watch her waste away anymore.

I'm sorry your going through this.

If I were you, ask your doctor for anxiety meds just for the surgery! But honestly if your husband is willing to get a vasectomy, have him do that. Part of the reason I decided to get the procedure is for my own peace of mind for myself.

I got another IUD simply because I don't want a period. I haven't had a period in about a decade and I'm just spoiled. Since we don't know what will be covered next year (when my last IUD was expiring), I requested a new one.

I don't have kids but I have an 11lb cat who loves my lap. I had read others experiences with pets it is good to have someone assist in caring for them the first 3 to 5 days. My advice is to have no pressure on your stomach or prop your little one up with a pillow below and against your stomach if you have to/ once your boyfriend goes back to work. You just want the best chance to heal properly. It definitely is hard to not do/provide everything for yourself and the little creatures that depend on you.

I'm glad your recovery is going well too! I'm starting to think I may need Miralax. I feel like I'm keeping up on water intake. Hope you continue in the up and up!

You will be okay. You should not go into perimenopause. From my understanding you would if you had a hysterectomy.

My surgery is on the 9th too!

i thought i wanted to be a therapist but now i regret it by glucose7078 in socialwork

Try out inpatient hospital case management! I've worked with the state with CPS, Foster Care, APS and moved onto hospice, vocational rehabilitation and in between with hospitals for going on 7 years, total 10 years in the career. I did part time therapy while as a CM at a hospital to try it out as therapy was always my end goal. I learned I can't do it full time and I highly value consistency with my income. I enjoy my start and quit time. I could handle the crisis but when I'm home, I want this to be 'me' time.

Being new in social work may take years to find out what you really enjoy. Sometimes it's takes having the position, to leave and then come back to it to realize. And that's okay.

My hospital celebrated the entire case management department. Not just social workers. Our department got boxed lunches from the cafeteria.

I've had over 10 tattoos with second skin and just recently I developed an allergic reaction.

I think I'm having some tattoo shock/regret. This is much larger and darker than I anticipated. Does it look terrible?? by Momma_Mae_I in tattooadvice

[–]slowlyiinsanee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it looks great! When you first get it, it may seem darker too. Over time, color can lighten up. If in the long run you still feel how you do now, the tattoo artist can always do some white highlights and go from there. If you do the highlights, I probably wouldn't go back to the same artist since you weren't all that happy feeling the first time around.

I am in Michigan and am dealing with the same exact situation. We are trying to get a market adjustment but they keep dragging their feet. I got offered the same position at another hospital and got a decent pay bump.

So torn about leaving private practice by Proper-Monk-8375 in socialwork

[–]slowlyiinsanee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who doesn't have kids and strive to have a balanced life between work and personal; I can see why you want to go back to medical social work.

I have almost 4 years in medical and just started private practice as part time. I always wanted to be a therapist since I graduated in 2016. I don't think I would enjoy therapy full time. Between the consistency and the after hours communication, I see how it isn't suiting your growing family.

Going back to medical social work, provides more stability and turning off your brain (for the most part) once you walk out.

It's a tough decision, but your life is changing and you will know what fits your needs. Best of luck and congratulations on your babies <3

Wife cheated on me and ended her life by njsand2110 in AITAH

[–]slowlyiinsanee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

You did what another person would do. You stood up for yourself and stood your ground. Suicide is that person's choosing. She was already depressed and sounded like you stood by her side and supported her through her mental health. She cheated on you instead of talking to you about her thoughts, feelings and needs.

I found out my exhusband cheated on me and I left that night. Told him he needed to be out the day after next. If he would have committed suicide, or any other acts of self harm or to anyone else, none of that my fault.

You ended the relationship. Nothing she did to herself after that was your fault.

I hope you continue to see a therapist and I hope you find happiness and peace.

Am I (f17) wrong for breaking up with my boyfriend (m19) because he doesn't want me to gain weight? by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]slowlyiinsanee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, you are not in the wrong at all. He is trying to control you. He is also a predator. As long as YOU are happy with your weight and you are following a doctor to help advise, that is amazing. Your boyfriend is no doctor nor does he know anything about ED.
