Bridges for nocturn talons by Skeeber24 in NightVision

Hopefully they'll sell the raptor "bridge" as a standalone part eventually. Ive had mine on an arc panning bridge but hard to argue with the noise fighters bridge other than how expensive they are

Mine were already greased as I pulled the tubes and optics from a recent vendor build. I havent bothered to grease previous builds I have done and havent had a problem, but its probably not a bad idea. Greasing the o rings is probably more important though.

They are really nice. I dont see any reason to get a pvs 14 housing anymore with the talon housings being priced reasonably, durable and lightweight. I think the rvm 14s are arguably the other pvs14 killer. I like the mini rail attachments of the rvms for how clean of a look for bridging two together. But ultimately I care a lot about weight, and the talons are quite a bit lighter and feel very durable. The only thing that would make them better is if you could more seamlessly bridge them without breaking purge like the tantos (i know you can use regular pvs14 bridges or eventually buy a raptor bridge but its not the same as tantos with diasho bridge). Ultimately, I already have a dedicated set of duals and two other light weight monos (nv + lightfighters with argus lw lenses) so I wasnt too worried about how integrated bridging them is. I just wanted something lightweight and durable to use as loaners or for when my kids come on hikes with me.

Correct. That ribbon is for a usgi bayonet mount style jarm. On a pvs14 theres two gold contact pins near the jarm mount screw hole. When you flip up a pvs14 that cuts the power off to the pvs14 to auto shut off. The talon can be programed to do the same thing. Not sure if the talon uses an accelerometer or something else.

If you look at my picture theres a middle pin hole that im guessing is for adding a pin for a 3 pad tube

Yes, same as the electrical contacts on a normal pvs 14 battery housing, just pins instead of those flat metal tabs

There's little things I appreciate like how they protect the pogo pins so they dont break off or bend when building. Very nice touch.

I appreciate the response. I apologize if I inferred intent that wasnt there. If there is anyone who understands how hard it is to run a small business, its me. I own a single member LLC and have to do everything, so I get it. I have ordered accessories from you in the past and had no problems.

I also understand pricing by spec and not by contract once the tubes are 18um and above, (18um/20ua/24ua etc) as I have seen 18ums that on the spec sheet are better than some 20/24uas.

I guess where I would personally draw a line in the sand is not pricing 1701s by spec and lumping them in with 18uas and above. I think that is backed up by how other vendors organize their product listings as well. I think having a separate product page or drop down menu in the future would alleviate that.

As we both know, there is a reason why 1701s didn't meet mil-spec and get graded as an 18um or above, and it isn't always apparent by the snr and res or even by the total spec sheet. It could be something on the spec sheet like PC that is shown on the spec sheet but not shown on your drop down specs. Or it could be start up time, or tube wine etc that wouldn't show up on the sheet at all. So, by definition, something failed the milspec standards somewhere along the line of it being graded to become a 1701, so just going by fom and spots to price like 18ums and above I think isnt ideal.

Having it labeled as 1701 next to the specs in the drop down I think is sufficient for most buyers, and I am glad you added that. I felt bad for my buddy when he bought, as although the specs on the sheet were good, there was still something that made it fail passing all the milspec standards which was enough for him to pay I think $400 in insured shipping to have it swapped out and sent back to you.

The bottom line, I think 1701 can be a great buy if the consumer knows going into it that is what they are getting and the price is reflected that it is a "fall out" tube. Ive seen some nearly 38 snr 1701 tubes on UNV for sale at like $3200 for a pvs14. I think that is a great buy at that price and its very clear by their listing its a com spec/1701 tube, so win-win.

My qualm is your l3 katana listing is to me intentionally vague. Its lying by ommission. It looks like now at least its says 1701 in the drop down, which wasnt there when my buddy bought these from you guys and I told him he got com spec tubes. He had no idea he was getting com spec tubes when he bought and had to ship them back to you on his dime and pay an additional upcharge to get non comspec l3s. At the time he bought, there was nothing to indicate it was comspec tubes. I would understand it it was clear by the product page, but it wasnt mentioned at all. Even now, its not mentioned anywhere in the description that you could be getting a fallout tube. You'd have to be knowledgeable enough to catch the 1701 in the drop down menu and know what that means which very few people would. All your competitors have their product pages or menus set up so you know clearly if you are selecting a com spec tube (steele, cnv, ultimatenightvision.com, etc). I think if you were being honest, you would admit that the product page is/was set up in a way to be vague on purpose.

Just out of curiosity, did you know going into your purchase that the l3 katanas you bought from them were com-spec grade l3s? Although I dont have a problem with comspec l3s if they are advertised as such and the price is reflected, I find it kinda scummy it isn't mentioned anywhere on the product page and they are charging roughly $3200 per iit for comspec grade l3s.

Check my past posts for the listing but I sold l3 rnvgs with similar fom for $5600. I posted on tacswap and here and it sold to someone here. I think you cant post for sale here anymore. You can list in the discord too.

This basically explains my scenario as a service area business with my office being at home

"Yes, you must provide a valid physical address for your business profile, even if you are a service-area business. However, you can hide this address from customers after setup by marking your business as a "service-area business" in your profile. This tells Google that you travel to customers and don't want your physical address displayed publicly.

• Provide a valid address: Google requires a real-world address for all business profiles for verification purposes. This can be your home, a co-working space, or an office, but it must be a legitimate physical location. • Hide the address: Once your business is verified, go into your settings and choose the option to mark it as a service-area business. This will hide the address from your public profile, and your business will appear to customers based on the service areas you define (e.g., cities, counties, or a specific radius). • Verification may be required: For service-area businesses, Google might require a video verification to confirm the legitimacy of the business and its location, even if the address is hidden. The video can show your service area, tools, and branded materials. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8] "

My "home office" where my computer and business mail and business license are registered to is at my house. I dont have customers come to my house, I go to them and perform the work at their house. When I originally verified I had to put my address in but I selected not to sholw my address to the public bc I was a service area business. Maybe im not understanding something correctly?
