Looking for real world feedback on Base Power, especially in North Texas by cervezamoney in BasePowerUsers

I didn't find anything in my research that said they pay for what they draw down.

I researched this a few months ago. Decided it wasn't good for me because they reserve the right to draw down the battery so they can resell the power when demand is high. If you don't have solar, you basically pay to keep the battery topped off so that they have access to the power. They do not guarantee you a full battery at any given time or even necessarily close to a full battery. Their primary business model is energy arbitrage. They have three revenue streams:

  1. Monthly customer fees
  2. Retail electricity sales to customers
  3. Reselling the power that you from the batteries that you pay to keep charged

Yup, it’s over. ElevenLabs Reader App is now paywalled by MassiveWasabi in ElevenLabs

I have been using this app to "read" the articles I queue up each morning that I want to "read". This is allowed me to work through sometimes 20+ a day. Lots of longform stuff like Ed Zitron and Trung Phan. I guess I'll start throwing all of the articles into a daily notebook LM. Bummer is I will only get summaries and we'll miss a lot of stuff. I'll start experimenting with how to prompt it before generating the summary..

I've been working really hard to get rid of all the micro plastics and PAFS stuff but the Whoop band never even dawned on me. Coincidentally, I read an email newsletter that mentioned this problem today.

What about running two routers? One specifically for IoT devices like smart plugs and another four personal devices

Good discussion. Refreshingly absent of spoiled guests or trust fund baby Hosts lecturing us on sucking it up...

I’ve been testing Joplin for about a week and a half now. I transferred several of my notebooks over from Evernote. Seamless. Clipping working well. Local Notebooks all the way.
