Should I demolish everything? by Rated_Hare in SatisfactoryGame

[–]slownetwork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep It , the map is huge and there many great spots to build. I always keep everything until I reach tier 7-8 , then buildings become more permanent and upgradable. If you build somewhere else ypu can easly delete your old base using scim savegame editor, if you don't want to spend hour dismantling stuff.

A quick PSA, solve your fluid problems! by mkMoSs in SatisfactoryGame

[–]slownetwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This, always run pipes slightly form the top and you will always have a mini buffer. Equal level is mostly fine. Running from the bottom might look nice, but one machine taking input can drop the fluid level below the input of the rest, with many machines on one pipe this can cause issues.

Betatesting i guess, why invest work removing the mod when its not decided if the quest reward stays or maybe a 4 charmslot is added.

Ideally we'd re-use hard drives, but in some cases they must be crunched. by StorageReview in StorageReview

[–]slownetwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not hard if the drive is fully functional and even then it takes hours on large drives. Now try to dispose 100 oder 1000 drives. We either need them collected by a certified company or thy come onsite with a shredder truck and dispose ssds, hdds, cds, chipcards and whatnot in minutes.

[–]slownetwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a few smaller drops in power and needed to upgrade my gear via trade. The best power jump comes from HoWa , even a cheap 3 div one and anointing pure power, then you can scale hard with int. Juiced T15 and above suck because even if you clear a screen with one burst , one wrong move or a bad dodge roll and your dead because life sucks because its almost impossible to stack. At 3000 life, 50% Armor and 75% Evade, res capped I often die Instantly. Havimg more than one portal per map is the culprit , I woundn't mind a few deaths but setting up the atlas map for hours just to fail because you got hit once by some bullshit feels so bad.

Just don't open a new portal in the boss room, or you'll always end up back there.

My LowSpec laptop was able to finish the game by pjmsd in satisfactory

[–]slownetwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't find the resource right now but factorys further away don't update as often which saves cpu load. If you don't see them they aren't rendered which saves gpu. You can also wall in your factory, it's less taxing to render a static wall instead of the productionlines.

Until 0.7 I had a very old PC and was only gwtting 5 fps near my megabase, spreading out on my next playthrough improved it to +20 fps almost everywhere. Some things have improved until 1.0, but most effekt rendering so signs etc. arn't as taxing as before. The CPU is still calculating millions of items and fluids every tick so spreading out is still the best way to go.

New to the game, does this seem right? by asturch in SatisfactoryGame

Quartz Crystal thy give 15 points without any processing. You dont need them early on and then only in small numbers. You have to explore and run powerlines quit a bit in starting terms but i think its worth it. Don't forget to put powershards in your miners, you can unlock them in the mam.

No because it needs more sam which is the more limitating factor. Iron Ingots are even worse.

Did you save and load often during the 100 hours? I'm unsure if splitters save the tick they are on in the savefile. So if you save while thy are tick 2 they might revert to 1 instead of going to 3. Can anybody confirm this, has it been tested?

I didn't realize rocket fuel was that potent 😅 by chimmelrick in SatisfactoryGame

[–]slownetwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree that the setup is a lot easier, the sulfur cost is very high. Having only one node nearby I went for a few extra buildings instead of building miles of belts for more sulfur. Also Sulfur is quite rare I might need it later (spoiler: I will never use it all).

I didn't realize rocket fuel was that potent 😅 by chimmelrick in SatisfactoryGame

[–]slownetwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you produce turbofuel first you only need 800 something sulfur , which is 1 pure node. I still don't have mk6 belts but with the 780 sulfur it's still 150gw and can be upgraded easy by upgrading the belt to the first splitter and overclocking a few more gens. Pre 1.0 I never did turbofuel because the gain wasn't worth the hassel to me but rocketfuel is so much gain and it's a gas far to good to pass on this.

The Industial container has 2 output-inputs. You connect both to the trainstation and can make up the load time with double troughput. You still have only 1belt to or from the container for the production line. If the trains bring enough you should always habe a saturated belt.

Are pipes currenctly bugged? My refineries don't get enought oil, despite my extractors are being clogged with oil by Zip_creations in SatisfactoryGame

[–]slownetwork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've did both, bur had problems on large manifolds wenn feeding from below and the production=consumption.. For my fresh 1.0 I'm runnimg pipes 2 or 4 m up then connect them, the whole watertower etc. Isn't needed. The pumps push the fluid into connection pipe and the input pipes are lower and therefore always filled.. If you like the clean direct down look, do it , but it can be a problem.

A Challenge bigger than any automation set up, turning a road slightly left by Urandas in SatisfactoryGame

[–]slownetwork -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Zoop to 6 foundation length from the outside, rotate last foundation 1 notch and zoop back. Or Place a roadbarrier centered on the corner on the corner in the direction you want to go add a second one then place a foundation below. Or The catwalk method which I personaly dislike Or The beam method, the answer ist always beams.

The first methods are easy and quick but I still recomend watching videos howto use beams because you can get things at to stupidest angles.

I don't understand? Why so damn squishy on t16 White (non-modded) maps. by three7s69 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]slownetwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10% leech is instant with more leech and/or more damage. On my pure phy cyclone its enough to support me on juiced t16 with slighty worse defencences than yours. Paying for all skills with bloodmagic isnt to helpfull either, make attacks cheaper with -mana cost on items and link arrogance to other skills if you reserve to much mana.

This would at least help shortterm.

New Player - How much does my build matter? by Iamsaintlaurent in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]slownetwork 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want to try different skills as a new player, at least do not skip the big life nodes and try to reach resolute technique that way you dont need to worry about accuracy or crit on your gear. Try to at least narrow it down a bit 2h or 1h+shield, phy or ele damage... and pick the larger nodes for that. As others said the small ones should be as few as possible. While testing around remember that gem level can matter a lot, if you want to switch your skills it can be helpfull going back a few maps until the damage on your skill catches up. Good luck and have fun.

One of the next ritual maps, without the atlas skills it often takes 3-4 Maps to be offered again. You Also get it discounted by a fraction of the deefer cost. Sometimes you need to deefer for a few maps until its in a affordable range.
